Step into the world of the samurai with a hands-on session that pairs Kyudo archery with basic katana practice. You will change into a samurai outfit and join a fun training led by a local master. In archery, you will handle a real Japanese bow — Kyudo is a different tradition from western archery, and the bow may be taller than you. With the katana, you will learn how to hold the single-edged sword and practise the key poses used in traditional training. Along the way there are mini games and light, humorous interactions to keep the session engaging.
Complete beginners are welcome. A local guide will adapt the training to your level and the master will assist you personally. Staff will also help you take lots of pictures, so you can keep the memories of your samurai outfit and your moments with bow and sword. The experience focuses on learning basic techniques and enjoying a playful, immersive introduction to these Japanese martial traditions.
