On Wikipedia, it said 1987 Japanese film Hachikō Monogatari. The original film told the true (No, untrue, it was inspired ) story of the Akita dog named Hachikō who lived in Japan. Hachiko ( aka. Hachi ) had never lived as a stray dog in Shibuya. He was even faithful to the third owner.
