Le Morne Brabant is a peninsula at the extreme southwestern tip of the Indian Ocean island of Mauritius on the windward side of the island. It is highlighted by an eponymous basaltic monolith with a summit 556 metres above sea level. Known as one of the most iconic hikes on the island with spectacular views of southwestern corner of the island, this is a must!
This is the perfect activity for nature lovers and adventure seekers. Declared World Heritage by UNESCO since July 6, 2008, the site is a sanctuary for runaway slaves and is a strong cultural and patrimonial symbol for every Mauritian. The mountain is home to a multitude of endemic species, such as the rare Trochetia Boutonania, and its red flaming flower.
