Ribeiro Bonito (Beautiful River) is the name given to the torrential stream that feeds the Levada do Rei. This enchanting walk along the King´s Levada leads through a fairly pristine laurel forest (world heritahe by UNESCO since 1999) penetrating deep into the delightful valley of the Ribeiro Bonito.
