  • Lienz Self-Guided City Walking Tour & Scavenger Hunt

    Wildenthal
Lienz sits where the Dolomites meet the Alps, and this app-led scavenger hunt will guide you on foot through the town’s highlights. Using phone-based riddles, you will move between landmarks such as the Liebburg, the Spitalsbrücke and spots along the Isel, tracing Lienz from its Renaissance castle down to the river that shapes the city. There’s no guide — the app will lead the way and you’ll progress at your own pace. Along the route you’ll solve clues and tackle occasional photo challenges against the Dolomite backdrop, which often brings out creative shots from families, couples or groups of friends. The experience is suitable for any group size and is available in 24 languages, including English, French, German, Spanish and Italian.

In Italy, a hands-on cooking class with a Cesarina brings home cooking to life. Cesarine is Italy’s oldest network of home cooks, and your host will open their own home to teach you traditional techniques. You will learn to roll sfoglia (fresh pasta) by hand and to prepare two simple, different kinds of pasta from scratch — a filled pasta and a fresh pasta. As the icing on the cake, you will also learn to make the iconic tiramisu. Along the way, you’ll enjoy an Italian aperitivo to warm up and set the mood. This small-group class keeps numbers intimate, with a maximum of 12 people, so you can take part in every step and share the experience with other guests. The session is hands-on and social: you’ll practise techniques under the Cesarina’s guidance, share passion for Italian food, and have the chance to make new friends while learning authentic recipes in a welcoming home setting.

  • Tasting and trekking in the heart of the Dolomites

    Cortina dʼAmpezzo
This excursion in the Dolomites takes you into a protected natural park that is also a UNESCO heritage site, accompanied by an expert guide who previously worked here as a ranger. As you move through flowering meadows, rivers and lakes, your guide will point out animals, plants and other small wonders that you would probably miss on your own. Along the way you will visit a mythological place linked to the famous legend of Fanes, so you will also hear about the area's cultural stories as well as its natural features. The route climbs to a mountain hut and uses water that flows at over 2,000 metres above sea level to produce a local craft beer, which we can taste (tasting is only permitted for adults). The initial part of the walk will be a little challenging, but once you reach the hut you will magically forget about the efforts made. In total you will cover about 14 km and almost 600 metres of altitude difference, and you will leave with new experiences and many beautiful memories to take home.
