  • Frida Kahlo and Anahuacalli Museums Ticket with Digital Guide

    Mexico City
The Frida Kahlo Museum, known as La Casa Azul, is the intimate universe of Frida Kahlo. Frida lived most of her life here, first with her family and later with Diego Rivera. She wanted her home to become a museum for Mexico, and after her death Diego organised the house as the Frida Kahlo Museum. Since its opening in July 1958, the museum has preserved the atmosphere that inspired her work and kept many of her personal belongings on display. As you move through the rooms, you will find paintings by both Frida Kahlo and Diego Rivera alongside popular art pieces, pre-Columbian sculptures, photographs, documents, books and original furniture. The garden, an essential part of the Blue House, leads to the exhibition of Frida’s dresses, giving further insight into her life and style. With this ticket, you'll have the opportunity to enter Frida Kahlo’s world and skip the lines at the ticket office.

The Diego Rivera Anahuacalli Museum is the personal cellar of Mexico’s most famous muralist. Here you will find the pre-Columbian art Rivera collected and rescued, displayed in the intimate setting he chose for them. As you move through the space, you’ll encounter the objects he gathered and learn about the collection he kept close to his studio life. Alongside these artefacts you will see sketches of the murals he painted in the most famous museums in the world. The preparatory drawings and studies are presented together with the pre-Columbian pieces, so you can view the material Rivera saved next to the images that grew out of his work. This visit gives a clear look at both the rescued art he cared for and the sketches behind some of his best‑known murals.

This tour includes a visit to Casa Pedregal and focuses on the architecture of Luis Barragán, renowned for his use of light, colour and natural materials. As you explore his work, you’ll learn how he shaped spaces through subtle shifts of light and strong, simple colour palettes. The experience centres on appreciating Barragán’s approach rather than a strict itinerary. At Casa Pedregal, located in the Pedregal de San Ángel area, you’ll see how the house blends with the volcanic terrain. The gardens, the interplay of light and shadow and the way the design sits in harmony with the petrified lava are highlighted as the property’s most remarkable features. Along the way you’ll have the chance to study these relationships between architecture and landscape and to observe the materials and tonal contrasts that define Barragán’s style. Options for a double tour or a customised itinerary may be available.
