The Salt River Canyon Wilderness was federally protected in 1984 to preserve this premier river experience.  This 52 mile adventure includes stout Class IV rapids such as Black Rock, The Maze, Quartzite Falls and Corkscrew Rapid. Cibecue, Walnut, Hess and Yankee Joe side canyons contain quite pools and waterfalls supporting over 200 species of birds along with desert dwellers such as Coati, Javalina, Big Horn Sheep and Gila Monsters. The majestic Sonoran Desert fauna of countless wildflowers, Ocotillo, Sotol and towering Saguaro are complimented by the exotic geology of 1.4 billion year old granite and 800 year old Salado Indian Ruins. Trips are restricted to a maximum of 11 guest enhancing the solitude and serenity of one of the few remaining stretches of free flowing river in the southwest. Rental camping gear is available and dietary concerns met upon request.

An easy drive from Phoenix to Arizona's other Grand Canyon. Enjoy a fun filled day of whitewater rafting and while others drive back to the city you set up camp next to the river as the guides prepare dinner and a beautiful evening by the fire watching the stars overhead. Less than 3 miles from the highway our camp can be accessed by any vehicle which makes for some very comfortable camping as you can bring whatever you like.

Our golf cart also has a canopy, so you will always be in the shade as you ride. As an optional stop, your guide will take you into the air conditioning for a quick elevator ride to stunning roof top views. On the tour, there will be additional opportunities to do a short walk from our golf cart about 100 feet to major landmarks for photo opportunities. If you have mobility issues and do not want to walk at all, that's no problem. All of our guides are trained to be flexible and adjust your tour. Ash Creek Canyon in Chrysotile, AZ is the area of Tonto National Forest Northeast of Globe, AZ. This off-road adventure travels through land that the Forest Service deems the most natural untouched land in Arizona. It is one of the most beautiful areas in the entire state. Expect to see beautiful mountainous desert scenery including; Unique trees, plants, cactus, and wildflowers that are native to the Sonoran Desert. You will also experience the beautiful canyon views including sheer cliffs, Ash Creek, and even the Upper Salt River. There will be lots of picturesque views of: Wild Animals such as Eagles and other birds, Snakes, Lizards, and Free-Range Cattle. You will experience the Adventure of off-roading and being able to travel through forest trails and rocky mountain paths. The Tour will take you into wild and rarely traveled places you'd be unlikely to see on your own. The tour is guided and driven by our experienced tour guides to ensure safety.
