During this fascinating tour, you’ll dive into Singapore’s merchant past during the era of the British Malaya territory. You’ll learn about the ‘black and white’ trade of rubber and opium and their infamous underbelly. Led by a local guide, you’ll explore back alleys and river quays where the rubber and opium warehouses were located and listen to jaw-dropping stories.
You’ll discover the role of rubber during the World War II invasion of Malaya, find the location of Singapore’s last opium house and see an authentic opium pipe.
