Don't expect countless vendors in boats at Amphawa Market; this market is more like a canal-side market. In Thai, these markets are called “talat nam” which literally means “water market”, but is translated to English as “floating market”. Of course, there are some vendors on small wooden boats that cook and sell their food to visitors. But you will mostly find dozens of restaurants and food stalls along the canal serving delicious food and local delicacies. Amphawa Market is definitely worth visiting though. It is a very popular market among the locals because of all the delicious snacks and food that can be found there.
