I was expecting your typical run of the mill airport hotel. Instead I found a cozy retreat, not unlike staying at a friends home! The woman who runs it reached out to me the day before to ask what kind of bed I preferred, what time I would be arriving, and if I wanted a taxi from the airport to the hotel. When I arrived at 1:45 am she was there at the gate to make sure I arrived safely and to check me in. In the morning she brought me cappuccino and called a taxi to take me to the city. She did everything to make sure I had a great stay. The room was super clean, beds super comfy, and location was a stone's throw from the airport. Bravo Fly to Venice.

The apartment is very spacious. The kitchen was stocked with tea, coffee, toasts, jam, salt, pepper, olive oil, vinegar, paper towels, everything you would not want to buy in a large quantity at the store for just a few nights. There was soap for the washing machine and dishwasher and two bottles of water in the fridge. Very thoughtfully done. The restaurant down the street was very good and open all day long every day, which is very nice when you are recovering from jet lag and want to eat when you want to eat. The kebab place was pretty good too. Bus stop was 2 minutes walk away and easy to go either to the airport (which is about a 15 minute walk) or to Venice or Mestre train station.
