The beach means different things to different people. What did the beach in Kamari mean to you?

One of the nicest beaches I've ever been to. Striking black sand (which is hot! wear sandals), crystal clear water at comfortable temperature, well maintained and clean. Definitely worth visiting. To avoid big crowds get there in the morning; beach gets more crowded as day goes on. I arrived at around 9am and it was virtually empty. And you will have to pay ~4 euros for each chair/umbrella but just accept it (you are in a major tourist destination) and enjoy the amazing setting.
On Kamari Beach you will need your sandals or water shoes as there are black stones, which become black sand at the water's edge (in most places). A walk along the black sand is a good 'foot spa' treatment. :-) The black beach is really quite unique. From July 4th I experienced huge waves that gave way to calm waters by the 8th. So be prepared for anything :-)
The beach is well serviced by the restaurants that line the promenade, who provided waiter service to the sunbeds. It's not a bucket and spade beach, but it is a great place for swimming or snorkeling
Lots of sunbeds (mainly free if you buy a drink from a restaurant) Black sand so need flip flops/sandals. Nice walk along front and water taxi to Perissa
Black sandy beach....gets very hot. Most of the beachside restaurants let you use their sun loungers for free if you buy food /drink from them
Easy access for swimming and there are many convenient restaurants and shopping nearby.
It is very good place, to those who wants to combine beach and sightseeing.
