Things to Do in Kuta

Kuta Beach
This beach has seen sea changes aplenty. In the 1970s, its gnarly breaks and remote setting made it a favourite with surfers and nudists. With the rising tide of tourism, it became a front-line Kuta landmark. These days you’ll see roving masseuses, hair braiders and vendors of knick-knacks. Head down early for some peace and quiet, or kick back with a cool beer at sunset.
Made's Warung Kuta
A true Kuta institution. This restaurant was once a lowly beach hut where glistening surfers dried off in the shade. These days, it does a roaring trade in belly-filling. Under its high, dark-wood eaves, diners pile in to feast on nutty satay and rich curry. There are even international staples like steak, sashimi and banana pancakes. Book in advance for a culinary extravaganza!
Kuta Reefs
Get the conditions right at Kuta Reef and you’ve got yourself a top-notch left-hander. The reef is 875 yards from the shoreline, so your best bet is getting a lift out there from friendly boat owners. Ask the guys outside Kartika Plaza and they’ll happily arrange a drop-off and pick-up for your time out on the waves.
Kuta Beach
Kuta Beach is definitely not lacking in star quality. It was this beach, with its perfect breaks and fine sand, that brought surfers to Bali in the first place, back in the 1930s. It’s still very much a surfing hotspot today. You’ll see surfers of all levels here, from seasoned pros to wobbly-legged rookies. Head there during the dry season (April to August) to get the best waves.

Good vibe, chilling out with cold beer on soft sand watching sun go down
Used to be massage ladies, vendors etc but now banned from beach. Hindu New Year in March equinox has unswimmable rough seas for one week. No coral snorkelling off beaches due to rips - must pay for boat excursions.
A busy beach where you will be bothered by sellers of all kinds, not ideal if you want a quiet time, ok if this doesn't bother you. A bit scary at night.
tourist spot, crowded, not the best beach. if you want solitude beaches, try nusa dua or uluwatu but sometimes it might be a lil bit pricey
Sunset beach bars. Haggling with the Hawkers. Cold Bintang, don't let the government take these away
Great beach for beginner/average surfers. Lovely beach to walk along or just relax.
relaxing with a bintang and watch the sunset with friends at the end of the day
Beautiful blue sky, amazing sunshine, lovely and warm. Especially at Tabulan
Enjoy relaxing at Sunset Stubby Beach Bar, watching the sunset and relaxing.
Long beach great for a jog or just a walk, and safe for children.

Surfing
One of the most famous resorts on Bali, this beach has fine-grained sand and more surf schools than you can count. It may get busy, but there's plenty of waves for everyone, no matter your level.
