Beach Hotels in Tanabe

We absolutely loved this place

The location and the whole house, it was very clean. The owner communicated with us very well, although we didn’t meet him.

host was super helpful and spoke great english. we really appreciated his help with Kumano Kodo planning. the room was spacious for us to repack/organize our things. comfortable and perfect for us.

What a cool experience staying in a traditional room.

Staffs were very friendly. Bathroom and toilet were very clean. Room was quite spacious. Excellent location, very close to Kii-Tanabe station. Considering the price, it was a very good deal.

The staff are extremely accommodating and resourceful. Whenever I had a question or needed something, they went out of their way to help me. I was able to check-in earlier, they were flexible with my checkout. They let me know when the best time would be to leave for the Kumano Kodo and the bus times. I needed sanitary pads, when I asked where I could find some they brought me some to my room. They also made me a bento box for my hike. Oh, the breakfast was delicious. The room was comfortable. 10/10

Super kind host, offered us a welcome drink when we first got in. He was very knowledgeable about beer and food and made us some delicious food for dinner. Large selection of cocktails and mocktails aswell. Recommend for anyone doing the Kumano Kodo as it’s a 5 min walk to the trainstation. Everything was very clean, tidy and there was great air conditioning as well as a common room kitchen. Would definitely stay again :)

Onsen was very nice! I liked the beds, comfy with cotton sheets although pillows and comforters seemed to be polyester, the sheets were very nice! The staff is very kind, and they helped provide me glasses and hot water to brew my own coffee!

Momo is the best place  in Tanabe !! Staying with Keiko and Aki is like  staying at your best friend's house. Those two  are so welcoming and hospitable that we  immediately felt  at home . The food at Momo's is very good - if you go for a hike, I recommend the lunch box ! Our room  was spacious and quiet.  A big supermarket is close by.

This is basically and AirBnB run off the Hotel.com site. It was really fun to be in a place that feels like a real Japanese home.

Host responded quickly and was very knowledgeable and helpful. Quiet at night. Walking distance from train station. Roomy.

Clean. Excellent location, a stone’s throw away from the tourism center, train and bus stations, convenience store, restaurants. Warm welcome from the owner, Hiroko who was also attentive in attending to our needs and even going the extra mile to help me find and retrieve my missing pouch. Complete with amenities a travel would need.

Close to the beach, really tasty restaurants around, and the start of kumano kodo, which the owner seems to be pretty knowledgeable about. The place itself is really big and well equipped, I enjoyed staying there a lot!

The staff were so helpful. We wanted to change our meal plan and they accommodated our request even though it’s passed the cancellation window. Amazing location - right on the beach. And amazing onsen too.

So much space for the price. It’s right in front of the beach for an amazing view. The host was super accommodating. He helped me make restaurant reservations (which you 100% need as restaurants fill up quick), gave me recommendations for what to do on the island and he even provided a bike so I can travel the island in a unique way. After visiting Tokyo, Kyoto, and Osaka, this hotel was the perfect place to recharge from the chaos of the city. I can’t recommend it enough.

The breakfast was good . The dinner buffet was a bit disappointed . Choices of food was a bit little and the taste was ok but I expected more.

Amazing hotel with incredible views. Service was excellent. Room was incredibly clean and comfortable. The private outdoor bath was so relaxing. The public baths also offer an incredible view. The hotel itself is located in a fairly isolated area from the town, but they have a very convenient shuttle service that you can reserve to pretty much get to all of the big attractions in the area. They also come to pick you up from the train station and drop you off on your check out date. Amazing hotel and highly recommend.
