Good new amenities, clean room. Only a few minutes walk to the main road and the beach. Well equipped shared kitchen to cook, free water and coffee.

Everything was amazing, great staff and an extremely clean place. Good value for the money we spent to stay.

Essential - most serene place on earth, great sleep, view, has everything you need. Clean, no bugs seen in 6 days. Host communicated well. Coffee provided, kitchen has utensils and drinking water always available. And Wi-Fi works just fine

Very comfortable, great location

Can’t beat this location! So close to Playa Rinconcito which is amazing for swimming and to watch the sunrise! Also a close walk to Playa Mermejita which is a perfect sunset spot. Lots of places to eat right on your doorstep too!

Friendly owner, good location, good value for money

The views and the pool were incredible. Rooms had AC and our room had it's own private porch area. Easy access to the beach and to the town. Nice atmosphere. Staff were all friendly.

There is no breakfast, but a great coffee is available - ask Sarah at Reception

The cabaña with the private rooftop pool is amazing! We had the best time, the views from the bed and from the rooftop are incredible. Also, the design of the cabaña is really beautiful and simple! We would reccomend it and come back for sure!

Where do I start? This is by far one of those very few special places that you never want to leave. Every single detail felt unique, from the warm welcome to the many common areas, so nicely decorated in authentic Oaxacan style. The views are just breathtaking, you are surrounded by nature, yet the ocean is always there as your compass. The bungalow felt so private and cozy, well thought through and beautifully designed, not to mention that amazing outdoor shower! Going to sleep and waking up to the sound of the crashing waves was truly special. On our last morning, we even spotted a whale from our terrace. If you are looking for a grounding experience, this is definitely the place to unwind and slow down. All the staff is amazing, you can feel the passion they have for the place and soul they put into their work, something we have rarely seen before. The General Manager was so kind and regularly checked in on us, plus he helped us with great recommendations and tour arrangements. We equally loved the food, the chef definitely knows what he is doing. Everything was super tasty, from the pizza (the best we´ve had in Mexico and we live here) and traditional tlayuda to the fish and seafood, and the prices of both food and drinks more than decent. Not last, Mermejita beach is at a 10-minute walk and is one of the wildest and most stunning beaches we´ve ever seen. We cannot wait to return, thank you so much for the warm welcome and hospitality.

The view from the pool was absolutely stunning, we couldn't believe it! Our room was also incredibly spacious and had a view looking right over the pool and beach. The staff were sweet and the breakfast in the hotel restaurant was delicious! The walk to the main town/village is quite steep (10 mins or so) but that was fine for us. Easy to access Punta Cometa too via a back route. Would highly recommend and wish we stayed longer - it all exceeded our expectations given the price!

Amazing staff, hotel in a stunning location

Loved my stay here. The property is about a 10 or so minute walk into the main centre, it’s hilly & half on a dirt road. The pool, room and staff were lovely here. Nice place to relax while staying in Mazunte. I’d recommend & come back.

Incredible place. Stunning views and easy walking distance to both Mazunte and San Agustinillo. Very smart and clean. Would stay here again in a flash!

Only a 5 minute walk from Mazunte centro, 10 minutes tops from where you idle away your lazy afternoons, Madre Tierra is a little gem. Comfortable, well appointed rooms, lovely staff. The showers are great. Treat yourself.

La Alberca is the perfect spot if you are wanting to stay near mazunte or zipolite. It is a short drive to town both ways (less than 5 min) and has the most incredible views. It is a nice private oasis away from the busyness of town. Jordi (the owner) and the staff go above and beyond to make you feel welcome and were amazing with assisting when our flights got cancelled in the hurricane. The breakfast is 10/10 with 3 really delicious options. From the linen, to the beautiful aesthetics in the hotel- everything has been thought of. Big draw card for us was the infinity pool as you cannot swim in the beaches so it was a great place to cool off.

It is located up ten flights of stairs. I am young and fit so I didn’t mind this at all. It was worth it for the view. I enjoyed watching sunsets at the pool. The staff was very friendly and they helped with everything we needed. The internet was fast enough that I was able to get all my work done! It was very clean and peaceful place to spend a vacation. The outdoor cat kept us company all week; which I really enjoyed.

The location is excellent and the roof-top pool area was very enjoyable. They have water in the lobby to fill your bottle as needed. The hotel is new so the design is modern. Water pressure was really good as well, which was a pleasant surprise.
