We were even able to change our room to a larger one, and we can confirm that all rooms are spotless, comfortable, and very well designed. The location is perfect: within walking distance of all facilities and the beach, yet when you’re relaxing by the pool, it feels like a peaceful oasis surrounded by nature. We had a fantastic week and will 100% come back when we return to Puerto Escondido. Absolutely deserving of a 10!

Located in Puerto Escondido, Oaxaca region, Quiote Quiote is situated 500 metres from Bacocho Beach. This was one of the best hotel we’ve ever stayed in. The design, the privacy, the location, the attention to detail, and Diego’s clear passion are all exceptional. The rooms are designed around a relatively small courtyard, but in such a way that each one has total privacy. We barely saw our neighbours during our seven night stay. The rooms themselves are designed to maximise airflow and ensure that they stay cool even in the middle of the day. They’re also just beautiful spaces to be in. The little kitchen was really useful too, and good if you’re looking to save a little money and make breakfast. Above all it’s the attention to detail in the rooms that stands out, they’re superb. Some reviews had said that the lack of bathroom door might be a problem - it wasn’t. The bathroom is set back from the bedroom and the loo is then behind a curved wall in the bathroom so it’s quite separate. The location is superb, it’s a 7 minute walk to the best beach in town (Playa Carrizalillo) and only 15-20 mins to the second best (Playa Bacocho). All the restaurants are a five minute walk away, but you’re set back and so not disturbed. There’s so much to do in the area. We ended up talking 6 hours of surfing classes with Donovan from Pacific Surf Academy which is only a 10 minute walk from the hotel. Overall we had an incredible time and we can’t wait to come back.
