Casa Marisa is a beautiful and peaceful place, and the apartments have every detail worked out. The finishing is probably austere for some, but we liked it, and the equipment was sufficient. The location was perfect - close to restaurants, shops, and the beach, but still on the sidelines. The pool and terrace are an additional great convenience. We also thank the staff, who were always helpful but, at the same time, gave guests a privacy. Some complained about noise or roosters – it did not bother us; we will miss this atmosphere. 🙂 We thoroughly recommend it and hope that we will return there again.

We visited other places on the coast, and this one felt special. First, I thought it would bother us nothing is happening there, and there are no restaurants, but this was not the case at all. I would bring more fresh food next time as the kitchen was well equipped for cooking

This was one of the best hotel we’ve ever stayed in. The design, the privacy, the location, the attention to detail, and Diego’s clear passion are all exceptional. The rooms are designed around a relatively small courtyard, but in such a way that each one has total privacy. We barely saw our neighbours during our seven night stay. The rooms themselves are designed to maximise airflow and ensure that they stay cool even in the middle of the day. They’re also just beautiful spaces to be in. The little kitchen was really useful too, and good if you’re looking to save a little money and make breakfast. Above all it’s the attention to detail in the rooms that stands out, they’re superb. Some reviews had said that the lack of bathroom door might be a problem - it wasn’t. The bathroom is set back from the bedroom and the loo is then behind a curved wall in the bathroom so it’s quite separate. The location is superb, it’s a 7 minute walk to the best beach in town (Playa Carrizalillo) and only 15-20 mins to the second best (Playa Bacocho). All the restaurants are a five minute walk away, but you’re set back and so not disturbed. There’s so much to do in the area. We ended up talking 6 hours of surfing classes with Donovan from Pacific Surf Academy which is only a 10 minute walk from the hotel. Overall we had an incredible time and we can’t wait to come back.
