Everything. It was just perfect. Superb location and place, amazing staff, very beautiful and unique property, great breakfast. The property is huge, the apartments are big and well furnished. The views over the river are amazing. There is a direct access to the river where you can swim or simply enjoy a great kayak ride. The staff is extremely friendly and always available. WOW!! If you are even thinking about booking Casa do Penedo, just do it. The scenery is amazing, the house is huge with all the comforts of home and a unique collection of art. About 30 minutes drive to the village of Geres. The kayaks were fun on the river but boy the current was tough, and we loved spending lounge time in the pool after a day of sightseeing nearby villages or hiking. We grilled every night and dined al fresco at the large table (even beautiful table clothes provided) and enjoyed our morning coffee on the veranda with the most beautiful mountain and river views. We hardly saw anyone during our stay and it was like we had the entire mountain to ourselves. Can't wait to go back!
