Hotels That Guests Love in Honolulu
  • One of the few hotels right on the beach. We also had an oceanfront room hence fantastic views. Very nice and clean beach, easy walk to groceries and less expensive restaurant.

  • It was a very basic but nice hotel right on the beachfront. We had a wonderful ocean front view. Staff were great. It was great value for money in a fantastic location.

  • Gigi, the manager, was excellent. She helped us and provide all we need. They got chairs for the beach, surf boards and all the stuff you need for enjoy the beach, which is just across the street. The place was great for snorkelling. The room that we got was perfect. With lots of light everywhere and a great ocean and sunset view.

  • The staff were amazing and the hotel is absolutely fabulous! It is in a perfect location, right on the beach and near all the shops!

  • The location can't be beaten right on the beach and in the middle of the shopping strip. The rooms were clean and the bed and pillows were comfortable. We were upgraded to an ocean front room for no cost so make sure you ask for an upgrade. The adults only infinity pool is great with the pool floats provided.

Waikiki Beach Area
This is the tourist section in Honolulu, full of hotels and shops. The locals are very friendly and helpful. There is such a great mix of people, both tourists and locals
Waikiki Beach
When it comes to iconic beaches, Waikiki may just be the king. This strip of pearly-white sand is lapped by the rolling waves of the Pacific, and is synonymous with surfing. Hire a board from a surf shop on the promenade and try out your sea legs. If you’re more of a sun-lizard, just lay down your towel and bask until your tan is tip-top. Gnarly!

Hanauma Bay Nature Preserve
A picture-perfect paradise. This beach is everything you’d expect from a Honolulu hotspot. In the curving sweep of a bay, soft sand is dotted with swaying palms. Rising up behind, a green-tufted hill cups the beach and its shimmering waters. Grab your mask, strap on your snorkel and plunge in – there’s plenty of vivid wildlife to see beneath the waves!

The beach means different things to different people. What did the beach in Honolulu mean to you?

It is a concern for many tourists lot see the homeless peopleoccupying and overnighting in the picnic table areas by the beaches. The do not beg food, or money, but their Personal cleanliness discourages others from u sing the facilities. Short of legislation, I have no idea how this can be solved.
a really nice hotel and not over priced, staff very friendly and helpful. your in the middle of everything and if you aint to bothered by city noise you can still get a good nights rest. the balcony is a bit tiny. I would have no problem staying there again.
Famous wakiki beach was expecting excellent sand quality but did not expect it to be rocky underwater and only knee deep for 100s of feet out into the sea.
It is just a crowdy beach where you spend your time with thousands of other people and it is dificult to find a place to sit down. I don't like such places
The beach at the eastern part of Waikiki was stony and shallow. Nice to have evening dinner close to the beach. Prefered the calmer Kailua beach.
Fun beach, lots of family activities, clean sand, shady loungers, beachside bars, easy walk from beach to hotels or main streets.
Went to Honolulu for a shopping trip, so did not spend time at the beach! However have better beaches on my doorstep in Sydney!
great views, nice walks, safe place to swim and relax while getting some rays of sun. a top spot and plenty of activity to do.
The water is calm and the most beautiful colour. Sunrise is great as not too many people around. Sunset is magical.
Soft sand. Warm water. Lagoon like beach w/ out waves and gentle full waves if you choose a different part of beach.
