We had this hotel recommended from one of my Danish friends who stayed here three years ago and stated it was a highlight of her trip in Bolivia. Having travelled for 7 weeks in South America now, we can also say that this is a key highlight of our trip! We stayed in the Suite with Jacuzzi and it was stunning. The attention to detail in the rooms made us feel very cozy and at ease from the get go. We can highly recommend booking this room if you want a huge window with a nature view and the most relaxing setting. The Jacuzzi fits two people and you will have views of the beautiful lake. The staff was so helpful and accommodated all our requests be it tea to the room, an extra night, arranging baggage service or routes to walk around the island- thank you! As we booked a second night we changed rooms as the Suite with Jacuzzi was unavailable. We stayed in a Double Room which was also very nice. All in all, treat yourself to a stay here!

Objekt Wara Uta Lodge sadrži smještaj u gradu 'Comunidad Yumani'. Uz recepciju otvorenu 0-24 sata gostima su u ovom objektu na raspolaganju i restoran te terasa. HOSTS The lodge is run by a local family, Alicia, her husband, and their child, and all of them are super attentive hosts, always there for you if something additional is needed. LOCATION The lodge is ideally located in what is called "the town", so you'll be close not only to the best-ranked restaurants, but also to many stores where you can get from snacks to fruits and vegetables. It has a stunning view, which literally leaves you speechless, and yes, it's worth every step you climb to get up there (believe us, you'll appreciate staying there!) From here, you'll be able to start trekking to the north, and to the Pilkokaina temple, skipping the first challenging climbing if staying around the port, and if you like exploring, there are many hills in the surroundings to visit with unbelievable views, which are not commonly visited. An additional plus: you're a few steps away from the best sunset viewpoint. BEDROOM My husband and I took the Double Room with Lake View, which has a queen bed and a private bathroom. Both areas, the bedroom and the bathroom, were super tidy and clean. Besides the basic toiletries, we were provided with two shower towels and a shower mat. We stayed 5 nights and we had cleaning service without any additional cost. The bedroom has a nice and pleasant temperature all day, and this is possible thanks to the bedroom's compact design, the wooden floor, the alpaca bedside rugs, and the hermetic windows. Also, the bed has enough blankets to keep you warm during the cold nights, which we consider important. BREAKFAST We had breakfast included, and we can say it's exactly what someone needs to yield physically while exploring the island, and of course, natural ingredients & yummy! (Basically: local herbs infusion, tea or coffee, natural orange juice, scrambled eggs, butter and jam, local bread).

Staff was super helpful and welcoming. Rooms are very comfortable and clean. Good wifi in restaurant area (I could do video calls) but not in rooms but that is ok.

To say that this island is paradise is an understatement but this hotel makes it even more of a haven. Contrary to most places that have a sun deck or a garden, here, you get your own private bungalow with private terrace and lounge chairs plus 2 gardens, and being high up on the hill, the views are stunning. The room is very spacious, with a super comfy bed and a living room area with 2 huge windows overlooking the lake and Illampu( which you also see from the bed). The bathroom is sparkling clean and large. There’s a heater that works so you sleep very well. Breakfast is plentiful and delicious, as is dinner. We stayed 2 nights, wishing we had stayed longer. But the very best of all is Sonia and her children who are so nice and welcoming and will do anything possible to make you happy. They arranged for donkeys to carry our luggage, I recommend you do;) Really really can’t recommend this hotel enough.

If you’re thinking about staying on Isla del Sol, YOU HAVE TO STAY HERE! A really lovely guest house! The room I stayed in, looked over the sea and I woke up early to watch sunrise from bed and it was magical!! The beds are really comfy and have lots of blankets to keep you warm as it gets chilly, a basic shared shower, which I thought was cold, until the manager came to turn on the hot water and it was delightful! The owners are really friendly and so happy to welcome you to their place.

Objekt Quilla Wasi - ISLA DEL SOL nalazi se u gradu 'Comunidad Yumani' i nudi vrt i terasu. Spacious, comfortable, modern rooms, with a great view. The lady working there was lovely and did everything to make our stay great.

Objekt Hostal Phaxsi nudi smještaj uz plažu u gradu 'Comunidad Yumani'. Uz pult za organizaciju izleta gostima su u ovom objektu na raspolaganju i restoran te terasa. Room was very spacious and super comfortable. Quiet. Bed was very large and comfortable. Great views. Breakfast was good too. They let us drop our bags at our room in the morning as we arrived off the boat around 10am. And it was great to not have to walk up the huge hill with our big packs, so location is perfect.
