Essência de Atins features accommodation in Atins. The 4-star hotel has air-conditioned rooms with a private bathroom and free WiFi. The service was perfect, we are helped perfectly by the lovely lady during our stay with everything. The transfer from boat to Pousada was arranged by the owners, also the transfer from Atins back to Barreirinhas. We could store our kite luggage in a separate room what was really nice.

Located in Tutóia in the Maranhão region, Pousada rancho sol nascente features a balcony and sea views. This property offers access to a terrace, free private parking and free WiFi. It has great vibes surrounded by nature in a cozy place managed directly by the owners. Great breakfast and excellent value, the best in our vacation in this area of Brazil, highly recommended and literally on the beach… if coming back to this area I would like to stay again in this place.

Set in Barreirinhas in the Maranhão region, with City Hall and Wharf nearby, Confort Lencois Preguicas offers accommodation with free private parking. Security 24/7 which was helpful as we arrived late and was able to check us in. The flat was good for one night stay with all the essentials.

Located in Atins, 300 metres from Atins Beach, Rancharia Charme Atins provides accommodation with an outdoor swimming pool, free private parking, a garden and a terrace. Excellent service and facilities.

Pousada Lanea Experience features a garden, shared lounge, a terrace and bar in Atins. With a fitness centre, the 5-star hotel has air-conditioned rooms with free WiFi, each with a private bathroom. The room was immaculate, air conditioned, and very clean and beautiful to stay in. The bathroom with plants and a big shower head was amazing and all aspects of the pousada were thought out with true care in their design. The bed was very comfortable and the spa was a perfect place to sit and enjoy a beer on a hot day. Breakfast needs to be talked about: the pão de queijo was unbelievable and the omelette might be one of the best I’ve had. The offer alternative milk options, and snacks you can take with you when touring the dunes, which we thought was a nice touch. Friends who stayed nearby came over to drink with us at the bar on several afternoons, and we couldn’t get enough of Franz and Katarina’s caipirinhas and company. Truly one of the highlights of our trip was meeting Franz and Katarina, they are amazing hosts and we loved that they sat and drank with us and talked to us about the local history of Maranhão. They were more than helpful, taking us where ever we needed to go on quad bikes (the importance of this in Atins needs to be said) and recommended us fantastic options for food and activities. The pousada amenities are fantastic, with even a basic gym, this place has everything you need to enjoy a stay. We would stay here again, and will recommend this place to everyone who is looking to head to Atins. Thanks Franz and Katarina!
