From the moment we arrived, Daisy, the heart and soul of this place and the rest of the staff welcomed us with a warmth that went far beyond hospitality. Their care and attention to detail made us feel not just accommodated, but genuinely looked after. At times, we’d find ourselves chatting with the other family members and staff, sharing stories, or picking fresh fruit right from the trees in the garden. Each of us had our own cabin, and they were just what we needed spacious , comfortable, and open to the lush surroundings. The sounds of the ocean and the songs of the birds drifted in naturally. We especially loved reading in the hammocks just outside the cabins on the balconies, swaying gently in the afternoon breeze. The location is also perfect, just a stone’s throw from the beach, and close enough to town that we could walk in for lunch or dinner, but far enough that it still felt like a world of its own. Like being in a town away from the town. Our stay at Cabañas Iracas del Mar was more than just a holiday it felt like a journey into the heart of Nuquí’s natural beauty and the deep, quiet generosity of its people. If you’re looking for a place that offers both solitude and connection, peaceful rest and enriching excursions, this is a destination that truly has it all.

Com vista do jardim, El Retoño del Negro Gozón situa-se em Nuquí e possui um restaurante, uma cozinha partilhada, bar, jardim e terraço. Utterly utterly basic. Barefoot luxury without the luxury. The wooden planks which make the walls of the huts have spaces between them for ventilation. Nothing in the room except a bed (and mosquito net), a shelf and a table. Hammocks on the verandah and the sea is right there - wonderful. You get there by small boat (with outboard motor) from Nuqui - the tourist jetty is a short walk from the airport and the people where you pay your airport tax made sure we were passed into the care of someone who saw us onto the right boat. It took 50 minutes. Wear shorts - there is no jetty and you disembark by stepping off into the water. The kitchen/dining area has a low concrete wall around it and a tin roof. The food is simple but we thought it was delicious (lots of fish - ceviche, stew and grilled). The staff are lovely - friendly and helpful, and take care to speak simple Spanish to help us understand. We enjoyed whale watching from a small boat. All very simple and undeveloped. A perfect place for blissful downtime and going to sleep to the sound of the waves. Utterly utterly wonderful!

The food overall was delicious—every dish exceeded our expectations. Maya and Andrés were incredibly kind and helpful; they assisted us every step of the way. The atmosphere throughout the hotel is fantastic—warm and welcoming. Thank you for an unforgettable experience!

The place is very nice, the staff is super friendly and attentive, everything is clean and modern, high quality beds, linings,etc. The beach is awesome, it's near playa cuevita and Utria, food is available on premises and they always help with transportation to and from town as well as with setting up tours.

Gostaria de agradecer especialmente o Moisés, que me ajudou muito, tive um pequeno acidente em um passeio que fiz e ele me deu todo o auxílio e suporte, o que faz toda a diferença quando está viajando a vários dias e sozinha. Me senti em casa. Recomendo fortemente essa hospedagem. Só venham, não vão se arrepender.
