My husband and I explored Savusavu as part of our “baby-moon” trip and staying at Gingerbread added to the special feeling of the island. It is right by Splitrock snorkeling site and a small walking beach, surrounded by a lush garden and one can enjoy the ocean view while sipping coffee on the porch. It is also right by the town, so one does not feel too isolated. The place is so functional - with plenty of seating, a small kitchen and a good comfortable bed. I loved the shower too - you can hear the birds chirping and it has a big window. Jan made us feel very welcomed and comfortable and shared useful tips on the nearby sites, places to visit and dine at. We will definitely stay here again once back.

Situated in Savusavu, Beachfront Villa - House of Bamboo, Infinity Pool with Starlink features accommodation with a private pool, a patio and mountain views. House of Bamboo was the perfect place to stay. Located 6km out of Savusavu, along a very pretty seaside road, House of Bamboo was surrounded by beautiful tropical vegetation while still offering stunning views of the sea from its large deck. The house was very comfortable and extremely well equipped so that we had everything we needed for our 8 day stay. The beautiful pool area was a lovely bonus. There was great snorkelling right out in front and we enjoyed the use of the property's snorkelling gear, kayaks and paddleboards. Taxis to nearby Savusavu were cheap and readily available. We were met by our host at the airport and farewelled on departure, and our luggage was carried up and down the 100 steps for us! Meagan and staff could not have been kinder or more helpful - they were absolutely wonderful, and we were very appreciative of that. We all loved our stay at House of Bamboo and would definitely stay here again if we return to Savusavu, which we would also love to do!

The cottage is amazing ! Jan is super helpful and friendly. The place is charming and had everything you need to cook, spend rainy days inside playing games, go out in the water. Location is really nice and calm, close to the city. There is even a Veggie garden you can use for mint and basil which were really tasty. Salt Lake Lodge is an exquisitely beautiful small resort on Vanua Levu that was charming in every way. The staff were kind, down to earth and wonderful. Osea was a wonderful chef! I liked that they only have two rooms, it gives the whole ambience an intimate feel.
