Relais des îles Saint Marcouf is situated in Saint-Marcouf, 2.7 km from Quineville Beach, 18 km from Tatihou Fort, and 41 km from La Cite de la Mer. Arriving we were greeted by beautiful frescos, the house was perfect, the view of the sea was breathtaking, equipment perfect, beds so comfortable and the hostess was so accommodating. One big thank you, we'd definitely want to go back!

Facing the beachfront, Les Maisons de Tatihou, The Originals Relais offers 3-star accommodation in Saint-Vaast-la-Hougue and features a garden, restaurant and bar. This was simply exceptional, from the moment we arrived on the boat, right through our stay, to the time we left. We were simply mesmerised by the Island and by the hotel, and this stay is something we will remember for a long time to come. We stayed in a suite and the room was fantastic. The furniture was most comfortable and both it and the decor were very tasteful. The room temperature was always perfect and the views out to the garden were stunning. The bathroom was probably the best hotel bathroom I've ever experienced. In typical French fashion, the toilet is in its own room, while the bath, his/hers sinks, and shower, are in a different room. This latter part was spacious and modern, and all around great. The restaurant was great. The menu is simple, but was perfect for us, and not overly pricey. Hotel guests can access the museum free of charge. Its well worth the visit too. The island itself is fantastic. Though the review is for the hotel and not the island, it wouldn't feel complete without mentioning the island. The nature, the beach walks, the UNESCO site - all well worth taking the time to do or explore. Lastly, the staff were great. Very friendly and very helpful. I can't comment on the standard rooms in this hotel but I would recommend paying the extra to upgrade to the suite.

Located in Saint-Germain-sur-Ay and only 47 km from Haras National, Cottage des Mézières provides accommodation with sea views, free WiFi and free private parking. Wonderful and bucolic location, an extremely homey place to stay with exceptionally friendly hosts! Amazing breakfast with delicious homemade products.

Breakfast absolutely great, hosts very friendly, location very quiet and close to a lake and the sea (walking distance), parking on the spot, spacious beautiful room and dito bathroom upstairs with no defaults whatsoever (except matrass)

Offering city views, Etoile du Kap is an accommodation located in Barneville-Carteret, 38 km from La Cite de la Mer and 49 km from Tatihou Fort. Great and spacious room with bathroom part that was just as big and comfortable. Amazing terrace with sea view (a little bit windy on the day we were there). Breakfast is great with a lot of variety and very fresh. Especially the lemon cake was exceptional. Very nice shared outside space for relaxing and having a drink or some food with friendly and disciplined dogs.

Offering a garden and garden view, Côté jardin des Charmilles is set in Quettehou, 30 km from La Cite de la Mer and 35 km from Marais du Cotentin et du Bessin Natural Regional Park. Quiet, clean accommodation tucked in a laneway yet just a short distance to the center of town. The owner was very helpful and pleasant to deal with.

Situated in Gréville-Hague, in a historic building, 17 km from La Cite de la Mer, Gîte du Lieu Piquot is a recently renovated holiday home with a garden and bar. Location was excellent, house and grounds were huge. It was well equipped and spotlessly clean. I was traveling with small group of friends but place was ideal for larger family. Would definitely use again.

Offering a garden and sea view, "La Cabine" atypique, vue mer à la VILLA PLEIN VENT is set in Barneville-Carteret, a few steps from Barneville Beach and 41 km from La Cite de la Mer. Peaceful, different spaces to relax, including my own garden. A perfect location to nip over the quiet one-way road to the beach for a sunset swim. The breakfast was the best I have ever had in France and I needed no lunch!!
