When we arrived we felt like at home. All of their workers there are super nice, have a nice smile and they make everything happen that you feel super nice there. The standard of everything there is just higher than in any other hotel we have been so far in Guatemala. If it comes to the shower, bathroom, bed or any other facilities, it’s just great! Also the small details! And the best thing is really as already mentioned the staff there. This is one of the hotels where you will say in a few years, remember the „El Viajero“ in rio dulce, and you‘ll immediately remember which one it was.

The staff service is amazing—very kind, very honest, and they do everything they can to accommodate your needs. They strive to do their best for the guests. From the kitchen staff to the waiters, bartenders, and boat captains, the service is excellent. I give it a 100 rating, and very, recommend it to anyone in the world who wants to escape their daily routine and feel like royalty. Go to CASA CARIBE HOTEL. We are thinking about returning. Ismael is a gem, super helpful and friendly - he really cares about the people coming through his beautiful hotel right on the water, with a gorgeous pier with hammocks to chill in, tube rings to float in and a pier to jump off (if it's not hurricane season, that is). The staff are friendly and helpful, and even got my laundry done for me which was much needed. Drinks are reasonably priced and they have a happy hour. I tried some veggie curry which was beautiful, and the dorm bed I slept in was very comfy. Overall the place is really beautifully designed and maintained, and they offer a boat ride to Rio Dulce right of their dock, which is super convenient. There are small lockers in the dorm.

I stumbled upon this place on Booking at the last minute. It turned out to be a wonderful place to stay. The staff is excellent - super attentive and very kind! The food is amazing and prices are reasonable! We stayed in a private room with private bath. The mosquito nets over the bed were a lifesaver. The bed was comfortable. The shower and bath were actually outside, which was unique and fun for a few days! There’s no hot water but after a day outside in the heat that wasn’t such a big deal. The location is perfect! 100% recommended!
