A continental, American or vegetarian breakfast can be enjoyed at the property. The remote location was is such a beautiful, peaceful place to recharge my soul. Exactly what I needed. Luis was an awe-mazing host and went above and beyond the call of duty. Food was excellent. I am vegetarian and Victor the chef made some simple and delicious healthy meals! My cabana was great with a beautiful view of the river and a super cool outdoor shower built into the rocks that I absolutely loved. There was no hot water but it was hot outside and the shower was refreshing. The beds are not the most comfortable but the sounds of the jungle quickly lulled me to sleep. You can hear the boats in the morning but I'm an early riser so that didn't really affect me. Despite being so remote there are lots of activities on offer. The kayak ride to Livingston through the lush canyon with an abundance of bird life is just stunning and the waterfalls nearby was also gorgeous. Not a lot of water at the time but the walk along the river was gorgeous and you can swim in the basin! I enjoyed my time very much and highly recommend to anyone looking for a tranquil getaway!!!

The bungalows offer tropical décor, wooden furniture and a fan. The bathrooms are private and come with shower. All come with river or jungle views and the energy is solar. The location is absolutely stunning, you're sleeping in the middle of a mangrove. The place is beautiful, it has a pingpong table, a reasonably priced bar, it's clean, the river is nice to swim in, the food is very very good! The kayaks are cheap, the tours support the locals. But it's a little secluded, so you're spendiing some time there :) which isn't bad, but might not be for every type of traveller.

Friendly staff - especially at the front desk and the porters who assisted with bags. The rooms were spacious, clean, and comfortable with nice terraces/patios looking over the pool and out into the ocean. We were there for just a night on a work/team-building trip and it was a great place to rest and recharge our batteries after a long day of activities. They also accommodate a later checkout and let me, my daughter, and our sitter stay on the grounds while the rest of the team was out at Siete Altares y Playa Blanca. Overall, a wonderful refugee for a little luxury in Livingston.

North Livingston Beach is 700 metres from Casa Tranquilo, while Capitania Beach is 2.8 km away. As soon as we entered, we were greeted by Sonny and his lovely dog Buddha, which is super obedient! We cooked in his kitchen and we were even invited to his BBQ with his friends! The place is just right off the sea. It is about 20mins walking distance from the centre but you can easily take a tuk tuk if you prefer for about 5Q per person. We booked for 3 nights but wished we could have stayed longer! If you plan to visit Livingston, I'd definitely recommend you to stay here! You'll enter as a guest but leave as a friend!
