The highlight of a visit to the hotel is the opportunity to observe toucans up close several times a day, which are always somewhere nearby, they even knocked on our room window.

We were collected from the island by Hilda’s husband even though we arrived at a very early time. Hilda put us in touch with someone who booked and sorted our Tikal tour (which was also fantastic). Whilst you’re not staying directly in Flores this side is much more relaxed, everything is cheaper, felt more authentic. Brilliant free tour of an ongoing excavation which is like Tikal, and it’s only a short boat ferry over the water for Q10 pp. would highly recommend
