Situated in Varkala, 500 metres from Edava Beach, Wavealokam Beach Retreat features accommodation with a fitness centre, free private parking, a garden and a shared lounge. We loved our stay at Wavealokam beach retreat. The owner and her team are super friendly and accommodating. They went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable. The rooms were extremely clean and the breakfast was also delicious. The owner also offered us to checkout late since our taxi was scheduled to arrive early afternoon. Regarding the location as well, we were super happy. The edava beach is just a 5 min walk away and is non- touristy. We enjoyed a private beach most times of the day. The ride to the north cliff is also just 10 mins away and the resort usually helps arrange a cab/tuktuk. Overall we would wholeheartedly recommend this stay and look forward to coming back again in the future :)

Boasting an infinity pool and views of sea, ETHER Marari Beachfront is a recently renovated homestay situated in Mararikulam, a few steps from Kattoor Beach. Location location location! With two toddlers we wanted a place right at the beach with less than 200 feet from our cottage and this was it! We hardly walked for a min and we were at the beach! The property fence is only 2 feet tall and is right in the sand of the beach. Sunsets were spectacular too. Paradise with a young family! Cleanest pool and yummy food adds to the experience. Fish pond and beautiful flowers were appreciated too by my toddlers. Maxon and his team ( Nidhin, Amal, and the housekeeping staff) took very good care of our food and baby needs.. All in all a great peaceful secluded quiet holiday gem!

Offering a garden and sea view, JeeHaa Homestay is located in Alleppey, 700 metres from Alleppey Beach and 1.7 km from Alleppey Lighthouse. Nice peaceful and cosy place, feels like home away from home. It’s close to the beach and has a great rooftop to chill. The coffee and chai here is excellent and the muesli bowl is phenomenal. Ask for sound healing, it was a wonderful experience.

Located in Alleppey, less than 1 km from Alleppey Beach, Dutch Square Hostel provides accommodation with a garden, free private parking, a shared lounge and a terrace. I felt very safe as a female solo traveller. Property looks exactly like on photos! It‘s big and lofty. The female dorm was very clean, had AC, towels, a huge mirror and windows are covered in mosquito nets. There’s a cool chilling area outside to socialise with other guests or to just read. The staff is lovely and provided tea and even prepared a savoury rice porridge for us guests to try. When the tuktuk driver didn‘t have change, staff paid for some of the fare to get me to the station for me to catch my train. I will never forget their hospitality!!!
