We were also picked up from Maratea station and taken back for our next train.Exceptional indeed!

The breakfast was very good, from the bakery downstairs i asked for a lactose free breakfast and they left a lactose free milk in the fridge and there were several pastries lactose free.

The room was larger than expected, new furniture, mini fridge and extra blanket. Everything was very clean and perfumed. Comfortable bed and pillows and we slept like babies. It is a quite place! It was a great stay for us and it's only 30 minutes away from Matera.

Very nice location, superb sunset view from the terrace and from the room. Great breakfast, the owner was vey friendly and looked after us extremely well. She organised the restaurant for us and it was great value for money. Free parking, but only suitable for small cars. Quite an adventure getting back onto the main road, but no problem.(Larger vehicles could park at the restaurant above the apartment, but 100m or so away. I guess the owner would carry your luggage down in her car, if asked...)

The accomodation is in a small rural town amoungst the mountains. The farm house is very quaint, it has an vineyard and beautiful grounds that my family loved to explore. The rooms are older but absolutly suit the farm house feel. We had a lovely meal at the local town, one of the best of the entire trip. The hosts were lovely and made us feel at home. I would recommend this as a "bucket list" stays. We even had beakfast ( home made sweets and bread) the next morning sitting in the vineyard before we headed off.
