We also had an issue with AC in our room and the hotel staff went above and beyond to help us and eventually moved us to an upper floor room that had better AC. We were also pleasantly surprised by all staff being friendly and especially a petite girl at breakfast who we asked for salad leafs once (because the Italian breakfast typically doesn't include it) and she found us some leaves in the kitchen and every day since then brought us that salad without us even asking :)
