We loved how beautiful and clean the hostel was! The view of the water from our room was really lovely, and even though bathrooms and showers were shared, they were so nice that it didn't matter at all. Highly recommend staying on Ikuchi island if you are biking the Shimanami Kaido--really lovely area around the hostel and the sunset at Setoda Sunset Beach is an easy bike ride and definitely worth it. Next time I would be happy to stay more than one night to be able to spend the whole day there.

The room was very clean and big. It was a traditional style with tatami. Very nice for the first experience. The hotel is located in front of the beach and we had a partial view to the ocean. We were able to leave the luggages before the check in.

Lovely quiet beachfront location with excellent hosts

The place has the charme of a seaside hotel of past times with rooms that are basically the interiors of a ryokan (and also pretty large). We enjoyed a nice traditional dinner and the staff was super friendly and available for everything we needed. The shuttle service is great! We loved it!

Hotel is by the seaside and has good view from the room. A bit far from town but shuttle was readily available from tourist information center. Staff was extremely nice and polite throughout the stay and food was delicious!

The whole atmosphere was brilliant, very well done themed hotel for cyclists.Top quality breakfast made to order and served in seaside room. Our room was huge by Japanese standards. It had everything we needed.

- the seaside view was unbeatable - free shuttle bus to and from hotel and port - concierge staff were very friendly and helpful, they treated us with a lot of care. They helped take our bags and take care of our shoes - quite proficient in english - hotel is very peaceful and quiet - public onsen and other facilities - eg. vending machine, karaoke, table tennis, lounge chairs, sofas - bedding was very comfortable

Great location, just along seaside, and the start of market street. The property is beautifly designed, mix modern and traditional style. This inn is so popular, we only booked the last room, which has no view. Room is comfort, clean and big per Japan standard. Staffs are friendly and helpful, they help to carry luggage to room and lobby, as there is no lift for second floor. The restaurant attached is cozy. The inn is cyclist friendly, most guests stay here for Shimanami Kaido.

The staff member that welcomed us was very kind and helpful. The location is picturesque, the facilities were lovely and all was very clean. Good shared kitchen social space too. I loved that there was thoughtfulness and care from management around waste/recycling. Also there was an excellent public bathhouse nearby and lots of good places to eat/hire bikes and close to a great beach (Sunset beach)
