This hotel is a great budget option for a ryokan experience! I paid much less than what is quoted at other places but it definitely felt like a luxury experience. The traditional Japanese room is huge! And the dinner plus breakfast were very delicious and extravagant. I struggled to finish the kaiseki dinner. The staff were so helpful and polite. They even brought all my luggage to the room from the ferry terminal. The shuttle makes everything very convenient as it is farther from the main sights. The onsen was clean and very comfortable.

Gamigami is located with a fantastic view across the inland sea with islands near and in the distance. It is a pity that cables are in this view as seen from the rooms but you can go up on the flat roof for an unobstructed view. It is not very far on a nearly flat road to the ferry to Onomichi so it makes a good last night if you are cycling from Imabari taking several days as we did. We had a comfort Japanese style room.

Kazu and Staff went above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed. They provided us with great recommendations of local restaurants/shops and activities. Very clean with great sea view. Comes with a free parking space which is a bonus.

Mr Kazu (the owner of the villa) was absolutely amazing! He helped us a lot renting bicycles, doing some shopping, transferring the luggage and getting into the villa - excellent contact via booking.com. The villa itself is located in a very calm neighborhood next to the sandy beach. It is a perfect location to relax and have a nice bicycle ride around the islands. The villa is very well equipped and big enough for 6 persons.

We knew the hotel was super well located when we booked but we discovered that the staff is incredibly nice and helpful and the facility is very well maintained. And, cherry on top of this delicious cake, they are very thoughtful about the guest, with a pillow bar or a welcome drink. Last but not last, the breakfast is excellent!

The guest house is very well located; there is a tram station almost in front of the property and the JR train station and a little mall are a few minutes away. There are a lot of small towns near Ajina that are worthy of a one-day visit. We went to Miyajima, Hiroshima, Iwakuni, Mihara and Onomichi. The size of the room was quite good; it had two twin beds and a private bathroom. The kitchen view was amazing, it was my favorite place. The host was such a nice person: he gave us a lot of ideas of what to do during our stay.

Cheap and cheerful and very good value for money double bed with room to move, fridge, private bathroom, aircon, close to ferry for island trip like Okunoshima. I liked the fact that you got an actual key for a change. Yes, not the modern way but less to remember - put key in, turn and you’re in - simple. And a harbour/river view. The FULL BUFFET breakfast was included. Someone in comments complained it was Japanese breakfast What the?? There was so much choice including bread to make toast, juice, coffee, yoghurt, veggies, pasta, fish, rice, sausage, egg. All included in the $60 room price. I challenge anyone to do better!
