Located just 600 metres from Naoshima Pavillion, Vacation House YOKOMBO ANNEX provides accommodation in Naoshima with access to a private beach area, a garden, as well as free shuttle service. The whole building is in nice condition. The beach is within a very short walking distance. Nice facilities (wholistic kitchen ware, entertainment equipments, etc). You need to rent motor bikes to get around if you want to go far, though. The host is very welcoming and accommodating, and willing to help.

The view and the facilities were awesome. You could use the kitchen to cook yourself and do the laundry . Will definitely stay again next time

Despite being 6 years old, the property seems like it’s just opened! The dormitory still smells of wood. Everything is immaculate. The bathroom is very pleasant and modern, right next to the sleeping areas. There is a fun bar and communal area to hang out. There are only 6 beds in the dormitory. The owner is very friendly and helpful. The garden is lovely. The surrounding area is beautiful. Overall one of the best hostels I stayed in Japan.

Set in Shodoshima, 16 km from Cycad at Seiganji Temple, Sen Guesthouse offers accommodation with a garden, free private parking, a private beach area and a shared lounge. Everything. It was perfect. The couple who run it are so sweet, so nice and helpful. They gave me a ton of recommendations, and even helped me navigate getting around the area. The hospitality was next level. The beds were super comfy, and the rooms were really cute. They had an amazing common room, which made it super easy to socialize with other guests, and to top it all off breakfast was delicious. They opened the bar one night I was here and that was so much fun. Great beer, great food, and met some really cool people. 10/10 would recommend.

I've traveled in Japan for many times and lived in many Minshuku style Guesthouse like this, and this stay is absolutely the best. It is very clean compared to others, and food is great - they provided many different style, and healthy foods! More importantly, the host/hostess were so kind, and they helped me a lot since I got to work a little bit during stay, and they also shared some story and trekking path on the island. Highly recommended!

Very comfortable and spacious accommodation in a quiet village, close to the access to Mt Shiude and next to the beach. The accommodation has almost everything you need. The bed was very comfortable. The owner is very responsive by mail and made sure I had a comfortable stay, kindly letting me borrow an iron during my stay.

Located in Higashiura, near Toyotamahime Shrine and Walking Ark, Lemon tree hotel is a recently renovated property, featuring free WiFi, a private beach area and garden. Ken-san greeted me to help carry my bags. Upon check-in he brought me tea and I enjoyed the view of the sea from the common space/ kitchen area. The place is beautifully rustic and immaculately clean. I could have spent days just starting at the sea. And the food…. Wow. Everything from the garden or the sea. A delicious craft beer which felt well deserved after a walk to the lighthouse. And finally an amazing and very hot sauna before bed. This was more than just a night’s stay- it was an inspiration on how to live in harmony with nature. I didn’t want to leave and hope to come back.
