I am on a bicycle ride and found the location ideal: A day's ride from Amami via Route 81, then a loop to Kasarizaka Lighthouse at northern end of island, then a ride south on Route 58.

We also took their sea turtle snorkeling tour and the guide was very attentive to us beginners and had a wonderful time swimming with a sea turtle.
