We had to inform them that someone on our reservation was unable to come due to an illness, and they went out of their way to get her a souvenir! How kind is that?! When you arrive, they give you a cup of, possibly, the most delicious heated orange juice I have ever had. Genuinely both my brother and I were shocked at how good it was lol. They were also very complementary of my terrible japanese, so bonus points for hyping me up XD. The stay itself is quite small, but it has a magnificent view out of the window to the beach and the palm trees, and the sunset over the mountain is breathtaking. It also has everything you would need for a stay, fridge, microwave, table, kitchenette, etc. Special shoutouts to the shower, holy crap the heat and water pressure from that thing were life changing, and I wish I could have taken that shower home with me. Genuinely in the months that I have stayed in Japan that was the best shower I have ever had. No worries about food, there is a Konbini very close as well. All in all this was a wonderful stay, very convenient, hosts were really nice. Absolutely will try to stay here again when I retry the Shimanami Kaido.

We stayed about a week in this wonderful oasis and didn’t regret one bit. The hosts were nice and took good care of us (driving us to the supermarket or to the station). The view was stunning and the house felt homey. Thank you so much for everything!

Set in Takamatsu, 12 km from Sunport Takamatsu, THE CHELSEA BREATH offers accommodation with a restaurant, free private parking, a shared lounge and a garden. A wonderful amazing hotel. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The setting is overwhelming! Why only 3 stars, the hotel deserves 5.

For walking Henro, it couldn't be more convenient, right on the trail. The host is a friendly guy who operates a very fine bar as well. We loved the interaction had there with other guests, sharing some fine Nihonshu. The showers were excellent, and the bunk beds very comfortable, a great place to chill.

The breakfast was absolutely some of the best that I had in Japan - complete with homemade breads, granola, and more. The staff was also very kind to us, even for those folks that there was a language barrier. I honestly just loved this place!

Make sure you will follow his instructions to get to his place if you chose to spend sometime in this area and bring some food with you

Very comfortable and spacious accommodation in a quiet village, close to the access to Mt Shiude and next to the beach. The accommodation has almost everything you need. The bed was very comfortable. The owner is very responsive by mail and made sure I had a comfortable stay, kindly letting me borrow an iron during my stay.
