JamboHouse is a great place to stay if you want to explore Lamu. It's in the middle of the Old Town and has a great terrace to relax and enjoy the views. Arnold is an amazing host and provides you with all the information you need to enjoy the city(restaurants, activities, transport etc.). The breakfast (banana pancakes is amongst the options!) was the best we had during our trip!

We loved so much about Jua House: the coffee and pastries freshly baked on the premises every afternoon on the roof terrace with its stunning views of the town and the sea, the happy friendly staff, the sense of complete safety and relaxation, the Shela location looking over the rooftops, just minutes up from Peponi, Bahari and the beach, the delicious breakfast, the well-traveled regulars (some who have come to Lamu many times, and tellingly choose Jua). Gorgeous room, with hammock on the balcony, bonus outside shower, fridge, stylish toiletries. Nothing not to like. Just gorgeous.

Shela Bliss oferece acomodação com lounge compartilhado, terraço e uma cozinha compartilhada para sua conveniência. Manda Beach fica a 4 minutos a pé de distância. The host was absolutely lovely and made us feel completely at home. He made sure we were comfortable at all times, and tailored city tours, boat trips and a sunset cruise for us. Definitely made our stay in Lamu and we hope to go back sometime!

The house is lovely, perfectly located and very reasonably priced. I was solo travelling and felt very safe at Sai Shanti!

Em Lamu, Sai Shanti House oferece acomodação com varanda e Wi-Fi grátis. Em um edifício datado de 2002, este apartamento fica a 3 minutos a pé de Manda Beach e 200 metros de Mnarani House. Everything! It is such a lovely place that will make your stay in Shela a beautiful memory. Super cozy, spacious, full of light, with all amenities, drinking water, non stop electricity even during power cuts, great ventilation, chilled vibe and above all a constant support by Chris and Reuben, who have been great in all terms and made us feel like home. Thank you Sai Shanti. We will be back!

Madakani House oferece jardim, área de praia privativa, lounge compartilhado e terraço em Lamu. A acomodação fornece uma cozinha compartilhada e serviço de quarto. The staff were amazing - so friendly and attentive. We have a young family and they were great with the children too. The house is a beautiful old Swahili house. The rooms are on the upper floors meaning there is a nice breeze to keep you cool at night and during the day. We have 2 small children and easily fitted into one family room. There was also a great roof terrace for sundowners and/or dinner each night. Location was very convenient - a couple of minutes walk to the beach. Edwin was very helpful in organising dhows, dinner and bonfire in the dunes etc. We will definitely be back!

Com piscina ao ar livre, jardim e lounge compartilhado, Milimani Villa-Fully airconditioned Villa oferece acomodação em Shela com Wi-Fi grátis e vista para a montanha. The house is wonderful, spacious, luxury and quiet. Bassam is a great host and the staff are excellent too. We had a great time exploring from here or just enjoying doing nothing much at all. It is a bit outside Shela, but not that far and a nice village walk.

Kizingo Beach Eco Lodge oferece acomodação 4 estrelas em Lamu e oferece academia, jardim e bar. Kipungani Beach fica a poucos passos de distância. The Banda we had was Deep Sea, nestled in the sand dunes with a gorgeous sea view. The decor was so well thought through with little details making such a difference from the weaving of the plants and their water system. To the lovely toiletries, gorgeous robes and swinging day beds. We wanted for nothing.Kizingo is paradise, peaceful and the perfect place to relax, explore, swim and just be. Nikki (the owner) and Pauline, Millicent, Paul, Alan and each of the team work so hard to ensure your stay at Kizingo is exactly when you need. They tune into each of the guests needs and Ensure you have your own Kizingo experience. There were activities available for us to do each day. We particularly loved the walk and bonfire in the dunes at sunset and swimming in the mangroves. Each meal was exceptional, carefully crafted with local ingredients / Catch of the day to ensure no waste. All healthy, tasty and delicious. Kizingo (the corner) is magical. Each night we would lay and look at the stars whilst listening to the gentle waves and nature. Thank you so much team. We will be back.

We had a magical week at Mangrove House. It’s simple but perfect, and in an absolutely ideal location. Breakfast was always delicious, and Nyevu and Harrison were so helpful and gracious. We would recommend Mangrove House to anyone looking for a unique, private, gorgeous place in Lamu.
