The property has a great location that’s central to town but in a quiet street. The room and bed were spacious and comfortable. The kitchen is clean as well. Rinas was so helpful while I was in a stressful situation with my shuttle never arriving. He found another ride for me last minute and saved the day. 10/10 would recommend!

The rooms are simple but nicely done – clean, comfortable, and surprisingly spacious. They might not be super fancy, but for the price (especially compared to other places in the area), they’re genuinely such a good find. The location is peaceful, and the setting has a really nice, natural feel to it. But what made the experience even better was the friendly and helpful staff – everyone we spoke to was kind and welcoming, which added such a nice touch to the stay. If you’re looking for a solid, no-fuss place that still feels well cared for and has a bit of charm, Woodnest is definitely worth it. Can u change this a little

Loved this home stay! Jazz made me feel very welcomed and they were extremely accommodating when I arrived super early in the morning. The room is spacious and clean, very comfy beds. There is a little grocery store, taxi service stand and surf shop right next to it, all the guys were really nice and helpful and gave good tips for everything. As a woman travelling alone, felt really safe and looked after all the time. I ended up extending quite a few nights. It’s up the road, not right in the main spot, which is nice because it is more quiet in this area. Be mindful there is a mosque nearby and you might hear the call for prayer early in the morning; didn’t bother me though. Would recommend!

Whisky Point Resort was absolutely amazing! It was a five star experience from the moment we arrived. The Resort is breathtaking and the privat beach and cabanas are so beautiful and clean. The staff was absolutely exceptional. They were so friendly helpful and professional. We extended the stay because we loved it so much! The Owners are very thoughtful and organise trips for exaple lagoon safari which was great! We are definitely planing on coming again!

We loved our stay at Lucky Bay - so much so we extended for a couple more nights. Perfect location for the beach and restaurants. Mohammed is a wonderful, genuine, host who goes above and beyond to ensure you are happy and check if you need anything. He kindly brought us homemade cake each day, arranged surf lessons, changed money etc - nothing is too much trouble. Highly recommend Lucky Bay if you come to Arugam Bay.

Absolutely stunning, private, peaceful and relaxing. Our whole stay at Blue Water was perfect, the cabanas are cute, clean and spacious for couples. We couldn’t fault anything. We stayed for my 40th birthday and the team decorated our room, what a lovely surprise on entry. Although there is no air conditioning, the fans in the room are sufficient and the cabanas are designed well with openings for a breeze. Rinos is amazing, he was so attentive and looked after all of our needs. He’s really friendly, a pleasure to meet and an excellent chef. Sudha and Dinosan are both phenomenal, they make sure the whole area around the cabanas are pristine, they take so much pride and leave patterns in the sand for guests. There is a good variety of food, the fresh juices are so tasty. We had breakfast and dinner most days and Rinos catered for our tastes. The beach is private and only a few steps away, most days we were the only ones there, it is paradise. At night we fell asleep to the sound of the waves. Thank you Blue Water you made our stay unforgettable.

Wonderful property and host! Iqbal and his staff were so warm and welcoming! They went above and beyond making sure I felt comfortable and enjoyed my stay! I was welcomed with delicious pineapple juice and a pastry. I ended extending my stay because it was such a warm and cozy place to spend a few days at the beach. Beach access is a few meters away. Iqbal also arranged surf lessons to peanut farm and I couldn’t recommend them enough! Best surf coach I’ve ever had! The room was very clean and spacious with hangers for wet clothes and storage. The hammocks outside each room are a very nice touch and relaxing. Each morning, the breakfast was very good and tasty! Lots of fresh fruit! Whatever you need, Iqbal and his team will take care of. Had a lot of nice chats with Iqbal. He will be missed! Wish I could stay for longer. Will definitely be back to this cozy piece of paradise.

We are a family of 4 with kids of 8 and 9 yo We almost cancelled our time in arugam bay… everyone was saying the weather would nt be good this time of year etc. we are glad we listen to the owners of the hotel and decided to stick to our plan! The place is awsome. The rooms we so nice. With everything you need. The swimming pool is really good too Just steps away from a private beach where we were the only ones. The restaurant serves delicious food and the staff was really good. The owners helped us with safari tours in the near by park and some surf lessons and rentals The yoga class was also really nice We had amaizing weather. And a even better time! Met some great peopler there and we were sad to leave!

Starfisch Cabana felt like our second home, such a beautiful place with the best host!. Tharindu was always ready to help or have a chat with! The place is very clean, quiet and has a small outdoor kitchen. The fans work well and our bathroom was modern! Also a special acknowledgement has to go to the stunning, well-maintained garden. Absolutely stunning and very relaxing atmosphere. Furthermore, we got delicious breakfast every day which always hit the spot after a sunrise surf! Tharindu changed the breakfast every day from a traditional sri lanka breakfast to poached eggs with avocado toast with a delicious fruit bowl. Overall, Starfish Cabana is a hidden gem in Arugam Bay and if you are looking for a place to stay, look no further. Thank you for the wonderful stay! We will be back :)
