The Dream Inn Guesthouse Passikudah has garden views, free WiFi and free private parking, set in Batticaloa, 300 metres from Pasikuda Beach. The best accommodation we have experienced so far in Sri Lanka! Traveling around for over a week already. Beautiful, very clean, very new and comfortable and a very hospitable host. Ashok has a lot of experience managing hotels and it is obvious from the outset - he has arranged everything very well. Also, it is close to both beaches - Passikudah and Kalkudah ones. We loved our stay a lot.

Situated within 50 metres of Kalkudah Beach and less than 1 km of Sri Muththu Mariyamman Kovil, Hotel krish features rooms with air conditioning and a private bathroom in Kalkudah. This is a fantastic little accommodation! Less than a minute away from a perfect beach (golden sands, coconut trees, calm blue waters). There was no one else on the beach on both days that we went. Mrs Krish is a lovely and attentive host, she was kind enough to cook us delicious Sri Lankan breakfasts and fish curry for dinner. The rooms are big, comfy, clean and have strong AC and a ceiling fan. Within walking distance from a few restaurants, shops, ATM. Would definitely stay again!

Set within 100 metres of Pasikuda Beach and 700 metres of Sri Muththu Mariyamman Kovil, Blue Sands Beach Resort features rooms with air conditioning and a private bathroom in Pasikuda. Excellent breakfast with friendly staff. Kalkudah beach was lovely and very close to property.

Pasikudassa sijaitsevassa Karpaha Sandsissa on tarjolla ravintola, ilmaisia polkupyöriä, ulkouima-allas ja puutarha. Majoituspaikassa on perhehuoneita ja terassi. Our stay at Karpaha Sands was amazing and easily the best hotel we have ever stayed at. Everything about this place is special, from the beautiful setting to the incredible people who work there. A very special thank you to our butler Malshan, who truly made our stay unforgettable. He was so friendly, attentive, and always made sure we had everything we needed. We felt very well looked after. We also really enjoyed the cooking class, where we learned how to make curry. Chef Donsan was fantastic – very friendly, patient, and passionate about what he does. It was a fun and memorable experience and something we would definitely recommend.

With garden views, Naaval Beach Villa & Rooms is set in Batticaloa and has a restaurant and a 24-hour front desk. This beachfront property offers access to a terrace and free private parking. Clean, safe and quiet place. Very nice and helpful owner.

The eco-friendly Maalu Maalu Resort & Spa - Thema Collection sits on the sandy shores of Passekudah Bay on the east coast of Sri Lanka. Wow, this place blew our minds. Absolutely stunning resort right on the beach - even better than pictured. The food was also sensational (fried butter prawns in particular), rooms beautiful and the staff rounded out the experience. All of the staff were lovely and went over and above to ensure we had a great stay. Ruchi (the animator) was a highlight. He proactively engaged my three year old son on the first day and by day two were fast friends - making our stay even more relaxing and enjoyable. We were there for 3 nights and while I normally want to get out and about - I was really happy to spend the whole time at the resort. Can’t recommend Maalu Maalu any higher

Located in Kalkudah, 70 metres from Kalkudah Beach, Kalkudah Beach House provides accommodation with an outdoor swimming pool, free private parking, a garden and a shared lounge. Never witnessed anything like that in my 45 years of traveling; top nudge, functional, clean facilities in a huge lush garden accessing a sandy beach (50m in width and dozens of km wide with no footsteps in the sand. Genuin hospitality; you find it here. A place for true “foodies”… the Chef deserves a Michelin star. Complementary afternoon tea followed by a generous and “very happy hour”. This place is a rare Gem if you look for a total relax.
