Set within 800 metres of Wellaweediya Beach and 2.1 km of St Anthony's Church, Funwhales Rest House offers rooms with air conditioning and a private bathroom in Negombo. One of the best places I stayed at while Sri Lanka. Hosts were nice and they allowed me to store my luggage before check in, and even prepared me take away breakfast to bring to the airport since I had to check out early. Room was good, comfy bed with sockets next to it, strong wifi, shower gel and shampoo. Would stay again if I'm in Negombo.

Set within 1.9 km of St Anthony's Church and 38 km of R Premadasa Stadium in Negombo, Kingz Kottage features accommodation with seating area. Our stay at Kingz Kottage was excellent. The place is a little tricky to find at first, but the street signs make it manageable — and once you enter the gate, you find a lovely property with a clean swimming pool right at the entrance. We arrived early and Tesha, the host’s son, welcomed us and showed us to our room. The room was larger than expected, very well located, with clean linens and towels folded in a beautiful swan shape. The bathroom was spotless. Shortly after, we met the hosts and his wife — both very friendly and welcoming people. Breakfast was great every day, more than enough for both of us, and always something a little different. They also gave us excellent tips on what to visit and where to shop. The only small drawback is that the entrance and bathroom door frames are quite low — at 6'4" I had to be careful entering. Otherwise, everything was great and we would happily return.

Located in Negombo, 500 metres from Sarakkuwa Beach, WetLand Resort provides accommodation with an outdoor swimming pool, free private parking, a garden and a terrace. We arrived close to midnight after booking the room shortly before. Despite the late hour, the room was prepared within just 20 minutes. It was beautifully presented and spacious enough for two people. The bed was comfortable, and hot water was readily available. The staff and owner were exceptionally kind and went out of their way to be helpful.

Right next to the beach in Negombo, The manager Camilas is amazing and made it possible for us to check in at 4am (in the morning) right after our flight! The pool on the 12th floor is absolutely stunning. Rooms are very spacious and easily fit a family of four.
