The place is a little tricky to find at first, but the street signs make it manageable — and once you enter the gate, you find a lovely property with a clean swimming pool right at the entrance. We arrived early and Tesha, the host’s son, welcomed us and showed us to our room. The room was larger than expected, very well located, with clean linens and towels folded in a beautiful swan shape. The bathroom was spotless. Shortly after, we met the hosts and his wife — both very friendly and welcoming people. Breakfast was great every day, more than enough for both of us, and always something a little different. They also gave us excellent tips on what to visit and where to shop. The only small drawback is that the entrance and bathroom door frames are quite low — at 6'4" I had to be careful entering. Otherwise, everything was great and we would happily return.

We stayed at Mario Family Villa for our first night in Sri Lanka and what a warm welcome we got! Besides the great atmosphere, the accommodation has all you need. The house is very clean, the shower is warm and the airconditioning works perfectly. The kindness of the family is heart warming, they are very helpfull and the breakfast (coffee/tea, fresh fruit, 3 different pancakes) was delicious. If we could, we would defenitely stay here again! Thank you so much!!!

The pool on the 12th floor is absolutely stunning. Rooms are very spacious and easily fit a family of four.
