The hotel is beautifully designed, staff went over and above and even did a beautiful arrangement in our room as congratulations for our honeymoon. We felt so welcomed! The restaurant food is delicious, we enjoyed the ocean view pool and yoga in the morning. 10/10 highly recommended!

The location itself is absolutely stunning – the beachfront setting offers an incredible sense of privacy and tranquility. You genuinely feel like you have an entire stretch of pristine beach to yourselves, which made our time there feel truly special. What really sets Good Karma apart is the exceptional service provided by manager Akila and his outstanding team. Their hospitality went far beyond anything we could have imagined. When I reached out about proposing to my partner, Akila personally helped coordinate every detail – from arranging a secret photographer to capture the moment, to organising a romantic beach dinner that was simply perfect. Also, when my partner fell ill during our stay, Akila immediately assisted us in getting to the hospital, providing support. Then, when Cyclone Ditwa caused our flight to be cancelled, Akila graciously allowed us to stay an extra half day free of charge. This level of hospitality is rare and speaks volumes about the values at Good Karma Resort. We left feeling not just like satisfied guests, but like we'd made genuine friends. If you're looking for a beautiful location paired with truly exceptionalcservice, Good Karma Resort is the place. We'll definitely be back!

The staff is very friendly and always ready to help with anything — from scooter rentals and transfer arrangements to great tips on what to see around the hotel. Breakfasts are varied and delicious, and there’s a nice, clean pool on the hotel grounds. The ocean is just a 5‑minute walk away, and the nearest swimming spot is about 10 minutes. The territory is well‑kept, with lots of greenery, birds, and chipmunks; we even spotted monkeys and monitor lizards nearby — the nature here is amazing. The hotel restaurant offers excellent cuisine with a diverse menu and tasty dishes. The bar serves both alcoholic and non‑alcoholic cocktails. I highly recommend this place — it’s a wonderful spot to relax, and one you’d definitely want to come back to!

Staying with Sandhu and his family was an unforgettable experience. I can honestly say, from the bottom of my heart, that this was the place I enjoyed spending my time the most, and the hosts are without a doubt the best. From start to finish, I have absolutely nothing, but nothing at all, to criticize. We rented two cabanas/villas, and the conditions were excellent. Both the interior and exterior spaces were very spacious, and the beds were equipped with mosquito nets to ensure a comfortable night’s sleep. The breakfast is truly amazing! Prepare to enjoy delicious food! We loved it so much that we ended up having dinner at the hotel every night. The meals were authentic Sri Lankan dishes, prepared with so much care and love (it really felt special). The attention and care from Sandhu and his family are incredible. Sandhu was always there to help, whether it was giving the best recommendations for places to visit, arranging trips, suggesting local events and parties, helping with tuktuk rentals, laundry, or anything else we needed during our stay. We were genuinely very happy here, and I sincerely wish Sandhu and his family all the success they deserve. They truly go above and beyond, and I will definitely return in the future. I will also recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Tangalle. It’s an experience you don’t want to miss! Unfortunately, the maximum rating is 10, because this hotel truly deserves so much more!

The beachside is simply stunning, offering peace and quiet throughout the stay. The food was excellent, the swimming pool was refreshing, and the cleanliness of the property was flawless. What truly stood out was the exceptional service — the staff went above and beyond, making the stay feel warm and personalized.
