The hotel is very new, and the service is excellent. You can tell a lot of thought went into the interior design—stylish and well-executed. The breakfast is also quite good; the cheese chicken wrap is delicious, though it's not available every day. On weekend evenings, there's live music at the bar, which creates a great atmosphere. I also really liked the mystery box cocktails—they were a fun surprise.

AJ Residence - Above Peppermint Asia City is located in Kota Kinabalu, less than 1 km from Filipino Market Sabah, 2.8 km from Sabah State Museum & Heritage Village, as well as 5.5 km from North Borneo... In a great central location. Really well run place. I can tell that the owners take a lot of time to make things work smoothly. No complaints at all from me.
