We loved our stay here, the rooms are spacious, comfortable and chic, and right on the most beautiful beach in ometepe, with a volcano view. Was a pleasure hanging out with all the animals and soaking in the vibes of the location and the people it attracts

Amazing cabins right on the lake. The cabins are really cool, and there are hardly any mosquitoes around which is different from the rest of Ometepe. There's a mosquito net to sleep in as well. The kitchen we had was perfect and the bathroom even had warm showers. The people who run it are also lovely and were flexible when we wanted to change dates.

I stayed at Finca La Magia while traveling for 2 nigts and had a wonderful experience. The place is very beautiful, peaceful, and surrounded by nature perfect for relaxing and disconnecting. Carlos is incredibly kind and helpful. He showed me around the permaculture property and gave me some great tips. You immediately feel welcome with him. It’s important to know that the accommodation is very basic: there is a compost (eco) toilet and the shower is outside. If you enjoy simple, natural living, you will love this place. I would recommend renting a motorcycle or a quad to be more flexible and explore the area easily. Highly recommended for nature lovers.

I really enjoy the location near to the beach and the spectacular view to the volcano. I will definitely return soon to Hotel San Juan.

Rocks Beach provides a garden, as well as accommodation with a kitchen in Balgue, 12 km from Maderas Volcano. This beachfront property offers access to free WiFi and free private parking. The location was amazing, right on the water. Fell asleep and woke up to the waves crashing against the shore every night. There is a gorgeous and spacious back deck with hammocks and chairs and it’s covered from the sun. We spent full days while recovering from long travel or hiking conception just reading in the hammocks and relaxing! The shared kitchen is amazing, has everything you need. The people staying here at the same time as us were incredible and fun to chat with. The host was extremely helpful and kind, quick to answer questions and give helpful tips or help you to arrange things! The price of this stay is incredible! We could have stayed for so much longer!

Featuring a garden, terrace and views of garden, Hostal Así es mi Tierra is located in Balgue, 12 km from Maderas Volcano. This beachfront property offers access to free WiFi and free private parking.... You can tell this hostel was put together over years with care and attention. Furniture is all handmade by local craftsmen, for example. I spent way too much time in one rocking chair that I wanted to take home with me. Estelle the owner and her family give it a very homey touch. Filtered water is free! Highly recommend it.

Located in Altagracia, a few steps from Santo Domingo Beach, Xalli Beach Hotel provides accommodation with a garden, free private parking, a terrace and a restaurant. The location, the staff, the breakfast, the mellow beach a few steps away from the hotel room. It was all incredible:) all the staff were wonderful but special shout out to Karina at the front desk, she was seriously EXCEPTIONAL. I would trust her with my life jaja.

Set in Santa Cruz, less than 1 km from Santo Domingo Beach, Hotel Restaurante Los Cocos offers accommodation with a garden, free private parking, a shared lounge and a terrace. Los Cocos provides fairly basic accommodations but what sets them apart is the quality of the staff. Marlon, his family and his staff are incredibly helpful and accommodating every step of the way. The food is typical Nicaraguan fare cooked beautifully with generous portions. We were always met with smiles. As we are practiced our Spanish, the Los Cocos team were patient and worked with us to ensure that expectations were well communicated. They spent time with us and got to know our children. The space is incredibly safe and the location is excellent, being directly across from playa Santa Cruz and the Saturday market. If you need a taxi, Marlon is more than willing to drive you wherever you need to go in a comfortable pick up truck. He can help you arrange horse tours, vehicle rental, kayak tour, hiking tour and whatever else you can imagine on the island. We have returned to Los Cocos twice, and we couldn't imagine staying at any other hotel on Isla de Ometepe!
