The playa mangos bar and restaurant was wonderful and just a short walk away. We ate breakfast at La Sirenita up top on their covered deck and was delicious. Loved our casita, super comfortable and we slept better than ever. Can't wait to go back. I even had to take an online/interactive 3 hour class for continuing education, and the wifi was excellent the entire time. Sat on my deck overlooking Lake Nicaragua and had a fabulous Zoom class.

We really enjoyed the outdoor showers and the pets were adorable as well

The location is fantastic, right on the shore of the lake and at the same time just a minute walk from the main road and restaurants in Balgue. The owner is very kind and knowledgeable too. There is a functional kitchen, two hammocks, chairs for the shore, candles for the night, and kitchenware too. Really has everything you need.

You can tell this hostel was put together over years with care and attention. Furniture is all handmade by local craftsmen, for example. I spent way too much time in one rocking chair that I wanted to take home with me. Estelle the owner and her family give it a very homey touch. Filtered water is free! Highly recommend it.

The staff were incredible & willing to go above & beyond to assist us. Carlos in particular was super friendly, helpful & was very transparent in his communication. The staff helped with our transfers to/from the ferry port as well as organising motorcycle hire. The rooms were very comfortable with air-conditioning, ample space as well as a clean & cosy bed.

I booked with incorrect dates and the owners was so nice to offer us a family room, that saved our stay. The restaurants breakfast was amazing.

They provide free kayaks too.
