Secluded and peaceful. Our bungalow was right on the water where my wife and I watched the sunset from our bed. The area is lush and tropical with several species of plants and fruit trees. Great bird and duck watching. There's a bar here and a kitchen for preparing food. There is power and wifi. All our needs were met and we highly recommend. Perfect place for nature enthusiasts.

This is a beautiful oasis on the North part of the island of Ometepe. The property is a large piece of land with lots of pretty plants and trees, 2 friendly dogs, and some chickens. All throughout is thoughtfully crafted walkways and living spaces which are very well-kept. The dorm room felt super clean and the beds were comfortable. It is actually incredible how clean it is kept considering it is basically in the middle of nature. The ranch has plenty of hammocks and space to relax! The best part of this place is the couple that owns it, Daniella and Tony. They have a way of making everyone feel at home and bonding the guests staying there. It felt like we had our own little family for the week we stayed. They always made sure we had everything we needed from food and water to suggestions of what to do on the island. Daniella is an amazing cook and we enjoyed many delicious breakfasts of omelettes, fruits, homemade marmalade, etc. And Tony’s banana smoothies made me so happy! Everyone we met there ended up extending their stay, including us. I have never felt so comfortable anywhere I’ve stayed while traveling. This is a really special place where you can feel a little closer to home while being so far away.

Nastanitev El Bamboo Cabins se nahaja v mestu Balgue in ponuja brezplačen WiFi, vrt s teraso ter pogled na jezero. Che’s cabana is located in a peaceful location near the lake, offering an authentic and rustic experience. The cabin is simple and comfortable, but it is more suitable for travelers who appreciate nature and simplicity rather than luxury. Che is very nice and he helped us a lot with excursions and transportation. Staying there was a wonderful experience

Nastanitev Finca La Magia se nahaja v mestu Ometepe, 5,4 km od znamenitosti vulkan Maderas, in ponuja razgled na gore, brezplačen WiFi ter brezplačno zasebno parkirišče. Absolutely loved staying at Finca La Magia! It's such a beautiful and quiet spot, the staff was incredibly friendly and all facilities and rooms were spot clean. We really enjoyed the outdoor showers and the pets were adorable as well

Beautiful Grounds, right on the lake, lovely room with vaulted ceiling and HOT WATER in the shower! So many places to sit outdoors and relax, hammocks, gazebos, rocking chairs, common room with couches and map books. Excellent, friendly service. Delicious food in the restaurant, hearty free breakfast. Monkeys and many species of birds around. Loved our stay here, highly recommend!

The location is fantastic, right on the shore of the lake and at the same time just a minute walk from the main road and restaurants in Balgue. The owner is very kind and knowledgeable too. There is a functional kitchen, two hammocks, chairs for the shore, candles for the night, and kitchenware too. Really has everything you need.

Nastanitev Hostal Así es mi Tierra se nahaja v mestu Balgue, 12 km od znamenitosti vulkan Maderas, in ponuja vrt, brezplačno zasebno parkirišče ter teraso. We loved the relaxed vibe and how everything is set up and decorated, it's really really beautiful and we enjoyed just sitting around on our porch immensely! the location is great as it's away from the crazy hostel stuff but not too far with tons of great local places near by. Getting to all parts of the island from Balgue was ideal as well and everywhere you turn you see one of the volcanoes since you're right in between them. If you turn right from the place you get back into the main hostel area in a few minutes (on bike) and if you turn left you find really beautiful roadways and scenery and you can get away from all the "traveler" stuff. Cafe compestre is just down the street (2 min walking) where you can get a really really good cappuccino. My boyfriend also got a haircut across the street haha. The food they made us was so so so good (our favorite if we HAD to pick was probably the burritos, and they make some of the best smoothies on the island). we were also able to get our moto bike and kayaking through the family as well, and everything was a really good price and easy. On day 4 or so we found a hole in the tire which they fixed in just a couple hours and they didn't charge us which we really appreciated. There was a power outage one evening (it happens on the island from time to time) and they set us up with a candlelit dinner and we just loved that (picture below). The family who owns this are truly wonderful people and we felt really at home, possibly too at home as we were supposed to stay 5 nights and we stayed 9 or 10 😂. I usually got up early and worked a few hours in the balcony seating area with a coffee or smoothie, so can confirm working here is also no problem. For context, I was working fully online building a webpage with large files so internet needed to be really functioning well, and it was :)

Fabulous rooms, clean and very comfortable. Lovely views over the lake. Staff were really accommodating.booked excursions and made packed lunches. Food was great too.
