The farm is beautifully kept, and the attention to detail is impressive — the owners haven’t missed a thing. I’m so glad places like this exist in the more remote corners of Norway. I really like the concept, and there are several unique options to choose from, depending on the kind of experience you’re after — from glass cabins to yurts. We stayed in the three bedrooms apartment at Mormorhuset, and it was great value for money.

Guesthouse with amazing location, a property with a garden, is situated in Asker, 21 km from Oslo Central Station, 21 km from Sognsvann Lake, as well as 12 km from Telenor Arena. Patrick was a great host. Very helpful and quick to respond. The cottage was adorable. Like a rustic, cozy cabin with all the amenities. The bed was very comfortable. The view was amazing. And located close to Oslo, but was a quiet oasis. Would highly recommend a stay!

Located in Husvik, 40 km from Oslo Central Station and 41 km from Akershus Fortress, Villa Thorse offers air conditioning. We loved everything about Villa Thorse! The location, neighbourhood, beds, kitchen - everything! I cannot even begin to describe the views and the location of this place. There were six of us and the villa was perfect for us. Bedrooms are upstairs and the sofa/bed for kids was downstairs. Bedrooms upstairs were a bit hot, but that's because we were there when it was five days of hot sun - in the middle of summer. Won't complain though, the weather was perfect for long walks around Drøbak. Oslo was close with a car and there was a ferry going to the near Oscarsborg fortress/museum island every hour from dusk till dawn. We were supposed to stay only a couple of nights at first, but decided to extend the visit to a week (before arriving). Best choice I've ever made :) There were so much to see and do, the week felt way too short. Never felt so sad to leave a place. Thank you for everything, Ellen, We WILL be back! :))

It is a comfortable and cosy cottage with a wonderful view. You can enjoy it sitting on a large terrace. The kitchen is well-equipped. The beds are comfortable. The nearest supermarket is 10 min on foot. The hostess decorated the rooms with flowers. It was pleasant to communicate with her.

The location was incredible, just next to a small ferry terminal, but at the same time private. The view is exceptional, and the west facing garden was a perfect spot for grilling until late in the evening.

A wonderful place to stay for our family. Peaceful location, with pool built into the rock overlooking the fjord. Great hiking along the fjord. Lovely hosts, who inspired us with their art and creativity and made our stay more interesting. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would love to come back.

Gorgeous cabin with great view, surrounded by beautiful nature. We highly recommend it. It was perfect for a late October getaway in autumn's gorgeous foliage. We recommend downloading a hiking/trekking app and going and discovering the surroundings on foot. Supermarkets and cafes are within minutes by car or bus. The bus stop is also very close to the cabin.
