This family-run hostel lies by Lake Vangsvatnet, 1 km from the village of Voss. It has a TV lounge and a communal kitchen. Free WiFi is available in common areas. The breakfast is delicious. I could eat local organic vegetables. The shared kitchen is clean. The lake view is also beautiful.

Historic Jaunsen Gjestgjevarstad offers home-cooked Norwegian cuisine, free Wi-Fi, and free private parking. Voss is 25 minutes’ drive away. Mother and daughter and the student chefs are making this stay so wonderfull. The diner was made with local ingrediënts. The story behind this hotel was told by the daughter on such a nice way. So friendly, so open, so welcoming. The breakfast was a gem, with pancackes, local marmelade, eggs, etc… worth to stay here again.
