Amazon Curassow Lodge and Expeditions features a garden, private beach area, a shared lounge and terrace in Paraíso. Martin and his team were absolutely amazing, when our backback ripped just when we arrived Martin offered to fix it we were so grateful since it would have been impossible to travel with a broken backpack. Our guide Flavio and driver Emanuel really went above and beyond to show us everything when it comes to the wildlife in Amazon, he even went back looking for my sunglasses that I managed to loose on our walking tour. We were lucky to see everything from Pink river dolphins, sloths, monkeys, capybaras, caymans and a lot more. The food was very good and healthy. The rooms were comfortable and we really loved the hammocks that were on the balcony, perfect to relax there between adventures in the Amazon.

The Jacamar Lodge Expeditions is located on the banks of the Amazon River, in the middle of the jungle and 120 km from downtown Iquitos. Danny was the best tour guide. He took good care of us and gave us the best jungle experience according to our needs. We saw so many different animals (sloth, baby alligator, piranhas, dolphins, birds, wolf spider, firefly and many others) during a short stay, thank you Danny! Didn’t got mosquito bites at the lodge at all, (but be prepared at night in the jungle🤫). Last but not the least, the food at the lodge was fresh and simply delicious (I tried some fancy restaurants at Cusco but I liked the food at the lodge more!)

Featuring a terrace, Libertad Jungle Lodge features accommodation in Yucuruche. Guests at the lodge can enjoy fishing and canoeing nearby, or make the most of the garden. My guide Larry met me at the airport and we travelled to the lodge. Although it was 3 hours time went fast watching the landscape go by. It was dry season for my visit so unfortunately the river way very low and the lodge was not on the river as per photographed on booking. I do wish this was explained. Otherwise i had an amazing 5 days. The accommodation was clean, the food was ok. It was different everyday but simple. My guide Larry was exceptional. His knowledge of the jungle, outstanding, and his English was perfect. We made a plan on arriving for what it would like to do in my time. Highlight was the caiman night tour and lily pads.
