The service is truly world-class, and the staff are some of the friendliest and most accommodating people I’ve encountered in any hostel or hotel. The rooms are spotless, super clean, and have a sleek, modern design that made my stay very comfortable. However, while the rooms are fantastic, the AC was a bit noisy, and on the 2nd and 3rd days, it started leaking water. Initially, I was considering giving the hostel 4 stars because of this issue, but the exceptional customer service completely turned my experience around. A special shoutout to the staff who went above and beyond to help me when I accidentally left my shoes at the hostel on my way to Oslob. I contacted them to explain my situation, and they kindly arranged for a driver to deliver my shoes to me the very next day—right at the whale shark spot! This act of kindness and their willingness to go out of their way to assist me was absolutely heartwarming. If I could give more than 5 stars, I would. The Wild Monkey Hostel deserves a 10/5 for their incredible service and the wonderful staff who made my stay unforgettable. Thank you for an amazing experience—I can’t recommend this place enough! 🙌🐒

The staff is lovely! They prepared breakfast for us even one day when we overslept and one time very early in the morning because we were leaving early. They helped us book a taxi to Oslob and even get a ticket to Panglao. Amazing people. The restaurant is super cheap, and the food is amazing. I recommend the moringa leaf soup. The room was clear and the internet works very well. I worked from my room every day from 3 pm to 1 am without any problem

Max and Anna are incredible hosts and good people. We had the best experience in Moalboal because of them - they gave us really fun recommendations (go canyoneering and see the sea turtles!!) and we even had a fun night out with them at Chili's. Also, It was cool to meet other fellow travelers here - the atmosphere was chill/comfortable and it was easy to socialize with others. Room was great. Location was perfect. Highly recommend staying here. Thanks again for everything!

This place is a gem, far enough away from the chaos but still close enough to everything you need. The facility is great with free juice and coffee. Clean fresh pool and clean rooms. The staff is amazing and incredibly friendly and helpful. I would definitely stay here again.

Bill and Cristina were wonderfully welcoming and always ready to help. Our treehouse had breathtaking views, and the bed was so comfortable. The beach was absolutely stunning, with crystal-clear waters that felt like paradise. The location was perfect—just a short distance from the village, where we could enjoy coffee, lunch, or dinner. The friendly dogs made our stay even more special, adding to the warm and homey atmosphere. Every day, we treated ourselves to fresh coconuts and relaxing full-body massages—pure bliss! This was truly one of the best holidays we've ever had. A well-deserved five stars!

Location was excellent if you are a diver and want to see thresher sharks. Great dive operation on site. The room was comfortable with a lovely balcony. The restaurant was great, very convenient and the food varied and delicious. The staff were great and very helpful. Having a cocktail by the beach watching the sunsets, which were beautiful, was a wonderful experience.
