Featuring mountain views, Lydia's House in Kaputian features accommodation, a private beach area and a shared lounge. The views was amazing from the main bedroom and the space for our teenage boys. The boys enjoyed the connivence of stepping into the water from our rooms, so no crowds. This unplanned side trip made our Davao trip worth it.

Boasting a garden and a shared lounge, La Vida Hostel Samal Island is located in Samal. This 2-star bed and breakfast has air-conditioned rooms with a private bathroom. Free WiFi is available. The first room they offered us was beside a freshly painted room so the smell was kinda lingering on our room. But as we requested the owner to have us transferred, they were so considerate to change us to a more comfortable one. Staff were also attentive and nice. But we were just shocked about the 10PM curfew. I also love how they have complimentary breakfaat :)
