We stayed in this lovely little rental house for three weeks in December 2025 and were very satisfied with both the accommodation and the hospitality. The house was cozy, clean, and well equipped, making it easy to feel at home for a longer stay. Everything worked well, and the space was comfortable and practical. The hosts were especially wonderful—very kind, welcoming, and accommodating. They were easy to communicate with and always helpful whenever we had questions or needed anything, while still fully respecting our privacy. Overall, it was a great experience, and we truly enjoyed our stay. We would happily recommend this place to anyone looking for a comfortable and pleasant stay, and we would not hesitate to return ourselves

The place is in a beautiful quiet location, there are flowers and terraces everywhere and a beautiful garden. The equipment is complete including a washing machine and dryer and a jacuzzi. Homely cozy environment. The landlady is very nice and helpful. We can definitely recommend it to everyone.

The area is quiet, peaceful and undisturbed whilst the tents themselves spacious and cosy. From the start we felt very welcome and the care of our hosts exceeded our expectations; it was obvious they take great pride in what they do. Having included access to canoes, bikes, fishing, hiking trails.. this was a nature lovers dream.

Situated within 26 km of Mariestad Train Station in Sjötorp, Askeviks Camping & Stugor features accommodation with seating area. The ladies at the reception were super nice. We got a cabin right in front of the lake so the view was wonderful. The service house with toilets and showers was CLEAN all the time. We tried different camapsites in the area and this was the best and the cleanest. Beds are very comfy!

Set in Sjötorp, 20 km from Mariestad Train Station, Perssons i Backens Pensionat- Sjötorps Vandrarhem & Rum offers accommodation with free bikes, free private parking, a garden and a terrace. Great Bed and Breakfast in a lovely town right next to the biggest lake in Sweden. We stayed only for one night but could have stayed way longer. Very friendly host that runs a restaurant with delicious Fish and Chips in the same street. Breakfast was also superb. And what a great area, great spot to explore the lake, the Gotta canal with it's beautiful locks and multiple Nature Reserves.

Situated 100 metres from Bomstadbaden Beach by Lake Vänern, this resort offers cottages with a private terrace and a kitchenette. Karlstad city centre is 10 km away. Clean place at a good location. The cabin had everything needed.
