Being able to walk to the bottom of the stairs and hop on a boat, or take a dip in the sea is priceless. I didn’t want to leave, and I would re-book anytime I am in the area.

Yes, there's not much of a view, but it is 2 min away from the beach, walking distance to Algar seco, from where you can start the seven hanging valleys hike. It is also close to the bus stops. For those coming via bus, take the110 from Lagoa and get off at Monte Carvoeiro stop for check in. It will save you from walking uphill with luggage just to check in. The lady at the reception was very friendly and welcoming. We stayed 4 nights and felt comfortable there.
