I loved being able to watch every sunrise and sunset from the stunning terrace that overlooked the beach. Most hike to find such a picturesque spot. There are no words for how joyful we all felt in this space. The air breezes through windows, and you hear music from the local bars. Being able to walk to the bottom of the stairs and hop on a boat, or take a dip in the sea is priceless. I didn’t want to leave, and I would re-book anytime I am in the area.

The staff were extremely friendly. During our stay, it happened to rain, but they provided us with many rainy-day travel suggestions, such as visiting museums, wineries, and castles. Thanks to their recommendations, we had the chance to explore the castle in the charming town of Silves. The rain came and went during our stay, and the cushions on the balcony chairs got wet. The staff quickly provided spare cushions, allowing us to enjoy the stunning view during the rare moments of sunshine. The indoor common area (the lobby) is quite small, but each room has a balcony where guests usually have breakfast. There are also two chairs next to the reception desk, which made for a comfortable spot to do some work on winter mornings. Housekeeping was done daily, keeping the room clean and tidy.

The room was very spacious with separate sitting and sleeping area. It had pots, dishes, cutlery, microwave, and a fridge. It was stylishly furnished. Yes, there's not much of a view, but it is 2 min away from the beach, walking distance to Algar seco, from where you can start the seven hanging valleys hike. It is also close to the bus stops. For those coming via bus, take the110 from Lagoa and get off at Monte Carvoeiro stop for check in. It will save you from walking uphill with luggage just to check in. The lady at the reception was very friendly and welcoming. We stayed 4 nights and felt comfortable there.
